Thank you so much - I really love this song both to listen and of course to dance to. I thought your comments were really interesting. I am not sure as a leader if I have every thought coherently like this about how to dance a whole song in a restrained way. It would be amazing to know if that is in fact what Carlitos in particular planned, or if in some way it was just a natural reaction...

Nigel, thank you for your comment! It's a great thing to try in your dance. As for whether they planned it or not - if you look at some other "gentler" performances of theirs, you'll see they use this principle a lot, so it's definitely part of their repertoire... for instance, this lovely show in Rome: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5jGmHuubqt9aLc

Hola ,primero ; hay que destacar que el TANGO ES ARGENTINO segundo : La pareja de baile son argentinos ,como la cancion y la musica que toca esta maravillosa orquesta tercero : La manera de bailarlo como representa esta pareja argentina lo ejecuta de "La forma tradicional" siempre juntos es decir casi sin despegarse con un leve contacto de la cabeza ,asi se bailaba en ARGENTINA en sus inicios el Tango Tradicional cuarto: No hay rigidez ,siempre fluye los movimientos ,no se actua noo noo , se baila con sentimiento y pasion ( los argentinos somos muy pasionales y lo representamos en muchas cosas como en la musica y el baile tambien ) quinto : Es bueno conocer la letra de la cancion ,es lo que inspira sexto : La mujer asi como el hombre siguen el ritmo de la musica pero pueden elegir distintos instrumentos ,por lo general la mujer elige los mas dinamicos y el hombre el compas como guia septimo : si no hay sentimiento que produce la musica con la letra no genera esa pasion para disfrutar cada instante del baile y por lo tanto carece de belleza ,convirtiendo rigido y frio octavo : recomendamos traducir la letra noveno : Los que actuan y hacen shows no bailan asi juntos pegados ,hay mucho circo ,revoleos exajerados y bailan muy separados ,los movimientos por tal sentido pierden el encanto del verdadero TANGO ,en las milongas ARGENTINA las parejas bailan siempre de la forma tradicional asi nacio esta bella danza

@@Raidnaomemata Los uruguayos copian y aportan algo ,nacio en ARGENTINA ,Uruguay era un pueblito de no mas de 200 mil habitantes en todo el pais muy chico de pocos habitantes al nacer el tango en BUENOS AIRES en 1890 ,todos venian y bienen a estudiar y trabajar a ARGENTINA de ahi que aprendieron y lo llevaron

@@jorgeroldan4952 Pero por qué te enojas, Carlitos es chileno, criado en la patagonia ... aunque ya no vale la pena decir que es chileno porque más argentino no puede ser. Pero tómalo como anécdota, nació en Chile, y de hecho viene mucho a Viña del Mar y Santiago... puedes buscarlo en google, o en entrevistas donde él mismo lo señalado.

with the music.....we see it...stacato..legato, in the music..adapted in the dance.so... to know really the music..not only the beat..improve the role of leader, also for followers...this is beautiful. .and to notice tango once, the women should learn to dance. Me.... I have decided never again to come to festivals where I pay and then stay on a chair..as if I did not exist.....because we are too many women...and men are not nice..we have only one life...thanks.

I think we shouldn't over-analize Tango .. it's an improvised dance. It's like interpreting poems:the authors themselves don't know what they meant with it...
