How does this song encapsulate the feeling of limited life so well?????? The entire song just felt like each second was a second closer to the end, and as time went on it felt like each second had more content, as if showing that as time goes on you realise you are getting closer to the end and need to make the most of it. This was amazing! I love how the melody on "Can't have it both ways, it's the end of your days," changes each time it goes from green to yellow to red. It's such a cool detail! Was here for the premiere, totally worth it! AHHH THE MUSIC! My brain just lit up and my head and fingers were bopping and ARGH! Ok, ok, but in all seriousness, this was ✨AMAZING✨. I loved all the details, like how the colors slowly shifted from green to yellow to red as the song was ending, like it was running out of time, and how the colors on the clock lit up as well. AND THE TNT MINECART WHEN THE BEAT DROPPED? That was an incredible use of imagery, because it felt like the beat just EXPLODED, and a really cool reference to Skynet! And the score? SO GOOD, with the use of unique sounds to just make the song all the better. And not to mention your voice was incredible as well! And can't forget the incredible art! A-MAZ-ING. All in all, one of my new favorites, IT'S GOIN' ON THE PLAYLIST! -From a person way too obsessed with music. (PS, Say, now when's the Last Life song coming out? 😏)

I've listened to a lot of amazing songs made about the Life Series ever since Third Life but there's something about the music you've crafted here that has made me compelled to comment. It creates such a specific vibe that is addicting to listen to on repeat, similar to your Double Life song. On top of that, the life timer cycling through the different stages is a wonderful addition that showcases how much extra effort you invested into the project even if many people end up listening to it more often than watching the animation. In short, your work is super polished and absolutely fantastic!

I am so hyped with this when I edit this comment it’s going to be my opinion as to how awesome this is Edit: (apologies for editing this late, I was at church so I missed the premiere by about 30 minutes🥲) ok, this is probably going to be long because there’s a lot to evaluate here. First of all, as always, the lyrics are very clever, so props to you, Gideon, you’re far too smart. Secondly, the art is amazing, I don’t know who made it but it’s really good. I noticed that once the hour hand (A.k.a. the little hand) got to the yellow or red bit of the clock, the background changed colors, AND The song started going on about when Grian was in his green or yellow life. I am impressed that you were able to get that so well when it comes to the timing along with the smooth clock animation. Loved the aha reference! Over all this really captured Grian’s experience in limited life so well. I feel like I shouldn’t be surprised after you struck gold with your song soul bound and other masterpieces, but I’m still shocked with how insane this was. Gideon keep it up man, I can’t wait to add this song to my Spotify playlist!🎉

god this is so well made. like other commentators have said, it feels like as more time is lost, theres a frantic pace of words as grian realizes there's not a lot of time left to live, to survive. and he needs more. and he'll do everything to get more. absolutely clever using the tnt minecarts for the drop 4 times, because thats the insane moment he gets as quad kill. also the whole vibe is so fitting for the game, but also life. your limited life is here to stay as long as you have. but the timer goes out eventually. also the stopping of the music with "bringing it back to life". like its so dark and this whole song encapsulates grian so well. even the irony of him never being boogeyman but wanting it so desperately basically every time. for the pressure, for the clever planning and killing, for more time. to be forced to betray. i mean every character is so traumatized in the life games its almost tragically funny.

When I got Spotify, this came to mind instantly. So I played it on Spotify and I was extremely satisfied because of how much of a difference in makes with sound. Just noticed something. In session 6, (I think) grian named a ravager "grian" so he could get some extra time. The name "grian" in the death message at the end wasn't coloured, so the death was the ravager, not grian.
