Tip ! You are holding your rod the wrong way after you catch the fish. Don't put it under your arm pit. Then you have to keep squeezing your arm to your chest to hold it in place or the rod will fall and your reel will be in the water or sand. Stand with both hands in front at breast level. Now look down at the inside of your elbows. Both arms make a human "rod rack." This is where you rest your rod. Resting it in the crook of your arms gives you both hands free to work with the fish, get the hook out, put on a new soft plastic, tie a knot, untangle a knot, etc.... You can be in waist deep water with ZERO threat of your rod falling in the water. Your reel should be up against your stomach between your arms about belly button high with the rod resting across your chest. Try it. Once you get the hang of it, you'll never put your rod under one arm again. Good luck.

Let’s go another Dillon video! No one else gets me stoked to fish the surf/inshore like you my man Edit: also big ups on being vigilant on regulations and keeping fisheries healthy for future generations to fish. One of the most important thing fishing KZbinrs can be preaching

Great video. This is my first year trying the single jig technique in the surf. It's amazing. I'm at 92 fluke 12 keepers so far. All from shore. I think that's more than I had from my boat combined over 10 years! Keep up the great content.

Time for that 2500 to be broken down, cleaned & re-greased.
@sab5017 Жыл бұрын
How often should you do that?
@Skolmann Жыл бұрын
@@sab5017 if I recall correctly the reel pretty much got dunked in saltwater, which means it should be broken down cleaned, regreased & re-lubed ASAP. Depending on how hard a fish a reel during the course of a season will determine how often it gets broken down and cleaned/greased. If they get fished hard, I might have them serviced twice during the course of a season. I like to have my reels serviced at least once every other year not matter how hard they are fished.

He's got to learn to put the rod between his armpits, it's very easy to learn you bring the fish up leave your line out with the aren't between your armpits and wrap your leader pull up your fish and that's it, but yes I'm surely he had have that serviced

@DFREMbowman5 ай бұрын
What meaning do you know of for that hand sign? I’ve never heard of any negative connotations from that hand sign. I thought it was originally from the surfer crowd, meaning “hang ten”. Be interested to hear if there is something else.
@AF-pe9hh4 ай бұрын
I’m interested to hear as well. If there’s a secret message to it, then it’s only among those who made it their own thing. Otherwise it’s a shaka sign for friendly greetings.
