Thanks I needed to hear this. I’ve been in ministry for 15 years as the founder of a non-profit. My income is limited as a result and I’ve been wrestling with continuing to get by financially or to start something on the side to generate some additional income for me and my family. I have three sons in Jr High and High School and a wife who can’t work due to her health. I’m getting by month to month and God shows up when I’m short every time, so I just remain content with that. Lately, I’ve felt like I should use my entreprenuership abilities to build wealth. From 1995-2008, I ran a small business, then God clearly guided me to walk away from that and into mentoring, discipling and serving at-risk youth and their families. Thats what I’ve been doing since 2012, as a non-profit. I love what I do but like you said there is this burning desire to “do more good” with personal wealth. This message helped me see there is nothing wrong with how I am feeling. To God be the glory. ❤ Pray for what venture I embark on to build some wealth. 🙏

Thank You Erwin! I have been distracted for a long time with many things "good things" and always under achieving! In the last couple year, God said in my quiet time, "master your business and you will master everything else". I guess I was still not convinced until recently. I have feared not doing other activities but maybe it has always been not trusting Him to come through and I would fail? I have always derived great joy and satisfaction from helping others and giving; that has been God in my life. I have taken to heart your message and believe God has given me the creative ability to make wealth to be generous; time to sow generously that I may reap generously and alter the lives of those around me.

I think Im on the same page with Erwin. For all of my life I have been struggling with money depending on others and now Im thinking: Did I created all this? Did I manifest in my life poverty to prove that I dont need money? Because now I feel different and I may need to accept that I can become wealthy and help even more people. I want to help thousands if not millions. Its to ask for His permission once again to allow myself to generate money. My father has always been against it and he lives below means with a very average pension. Its sad seeing him depending on other peoples wishes. He can never be free this way but its his choice.

I know how much you love bold asking, so hopefully this is a good place for it. Thank you for all of your wonderful teachings! In times where I've moved, I have tithed to Mosaic without a second thought until I found a local community to serve. Could you please do a talk on the Deuteronomy concept of generosity (and tithing) from Ch 14 & 26? I've been pondering this for the last year what it would look like today, specifically in the CEV version, which I was introduced to in one of your messages. Also, your generosity is insane. My wife and I think we are super generous, but you show us there is far more we can do!
