To be honest, I didn't find anyone on KZbin who solved similar questions, like that of the actual exam I strongly believe there is a huge gap between Actual JEE questions and those solved by coaching institute. If the gap is filled, surely students can build the approach to solve JEE questions.

It is the greatest integer function. It is abbreviated as GIF and in many places (especially computer science) called the Floor of a number. If you enter any number into it then it will give the greatest integer smaller than that number as output. Eg. : [5.2]=5, [3.9]=3, [-6.3]=-7 etc. Edit: 1 is taken because if you put any number just less than 2 into the GIF, then it will give 1 as the output.
