If a caterpillar cannot reason at the level of a dog and a dog cannot reason at the level of a human it's hubristic to think that humans could understand everything. In my opinion the utility of spirituality is that it creates this relationship of humility with the unknowable - which is a more logical orientation to the experience of life. Thanks for an interesting talk

I've been exploring how spirituality integrates with "knowing" and if feeling something in the soul or emotional domain is the same kind of truth as feeling an object in the physical world. At the moment, my thoughts on this are not well formed, but I intend to do a video on this in the future. So much to talk about yet! Thank you so much for being here with me so early in my journey ❤️

There's definitely different kinds of knowing. For example I know how to tie shoelaces and can even transmit this knowledge to someone else. I also know how to move my hand but can't render this knowing into language. I can know I love or don't love someone (a sensation in heart) but when I explain why I actually only rationalize based on cognitive biases. I can "know" god as an experience of awe and lack of ego but cannot prove it's existence using science. Does this mean god isn't real? John verveke has some interesting work on different kinds of knowing. I think he lists 3 kinds. Cool video. Glad to have found your work
