@ I did not pass, the questions were not similar at all , they were very tricky and for a lot of the questions you had to pick two choices.

Am I missing something at about 21:53? You said the pulse is going to drop then you said the pulse is going to go up. Did you mean to say BP?
@pablomcg Жыл бұрын
Yeah I believe there was brief mix-up there if that is ICP cushings triad. He meant BP increasing, along with bradycardia. The word on the screen was right

is the hands on patient assessments a part of the NREMT as well? or is it strictly a computer test only?
@Limmereducation6 ай бұрын
The hands-on (aka, psychomotor or skills exam) will no longer be required by the National Registry as of July 1, 2024.

Where are these questions coming from? Are any official courses like NAR used as guidance? I’m in an NAR course for basic EMT and none of the questions throughout the courses are worded this way.
@Limmereducation Жыл бұрын
The practice questions at the end of the game are extremely similar to questions found on The National Registry exam. The Jeopardy "questions" are just a fun knowledge review.

Hey, Im a former paramedic who's going back to EMT school after 16 years away from EMS. Im still toward the beginning of class and have some confusion about the last question. Is this question EMT level or AEMT? Is nebulized albuterol an EMT bls skill now, or possibly a local protocol issue? With my previous experience and the changes in the last 16 years this can confuse me sometimes and i want to be clear for my NR test!
@Limmereducation3 ай бұрын
A lot has changed in 16 years! Albuterol nebulizers are in the protocols for most states. Nebulized medications are included for EMTs in the 2019 Scope of Practice document. So yes!
@jonr37513 ай бұрын
@@Limmereducation Thanks for the response! Yeah, alot has changed! I already learned we dont give everybody O2 and spineboards now. But I hadn't heard about Albuterol yet. Sounds like a good change.

@Gooddaysonly727 ай бұрын
@@isaacrivera4618 it depends if your emt class actually got an NREMT proctor to come test you. My emt class had one in-class practical assessment as our final exam and then also got an nremt proctor to come in and give the nremt assessment as well. You should be able to find out if youve passed the nremt practica, part on the nremt website by signing in.

Last thing you would do is nebulized albuterol. If anything you would administer a HFA of albuterol but you wouldn’t do that if he was in actual distress. You would rapid transport and administer his inhaler in the ambulance with a chamber/spacer if he wasn’t using one then there might’ve been a common error with actuation and inhalation. But you have to remember albuterol prescribed at home usually comes with a spacer along with instruction from the prescriber and again from the pharmacist the likelihood of patient error is very low. It seems like this patients needs an ICS and potentially ICS+ a LABA not albuterol. So in no case is the answer sit there for a 30 minute nebulized albuterol treatment. Other than that the video was good.
@danlimmer63269 ай бұрын
Hi John. There have been studies that show that a properly used albuterol inhaler is as effective as a nebulizer--although the amount of albuterol in a neb treatment is equivalent to about 4 - 10 puffs from the inhaler. The SVN is frequently used in EMS because it is portable (no need to stay on scene) and isn't related to proper timing. EMS doesn't use inhaled corticosteroids + LABA (Advair, Breo, etc)--in fact, we discourage them as a "rescue" inhaler (as do the manufacturers). While asthmatics need these medications in the long term to reduce reactivity and mucus production, this isn't in the EMS scope of practice at this time.

@@danlimmer6326love how Dan comes back and put " know it all's" in there place. Obviously we're not sitting on scene for 30 minutes while giving an Albuterol treatment
