The coolest thing about the demon hunter cinematic, in my opinion, is how it's in first person. The camera shakes like actual head movements, and that's neat. It's amazing to look at stuff like the Wrathgate and see how far the animation has come.

Partially? It was ALL Thrall's fault. He abandoned the Horde and the Boy orc who was looking up to him and put him in charge of a pretty battered and divided horde. Garrosh had to be mentored and guided a lot more before being put in this position he NEVER asked for.

Only if you were with the alliance. I was back and forth but seeing Thrall defeat garrosh meant something more than Varians death imo. SoO was the best raid not only game play but story telling as well. As a veteran from vanilla who returns every year for the new expansions. Lich Kings story isn't even better than that. Its close but seeing Thrall watch Grommash die next to him in wc3 and then killing his son hits me harder.

I thought the story of Warlords were great, the characters and the cinematics were good. Dungeons and raids were good but the problem with WoD was it was just a lack of content, because there weren't a lot to do beside raid or do mythic dungeons every week. But fortunately Legion that came after had great content, i would say it's on par with MoP when it comes to content because there was so much to do.

Not only that, the only real reason Garrosh turned into the "big baddie" was because of the Twilight hammer clan and Magatha Grimtotem. It has NOTHING to do with his initial actions. Not only that, Thrall didn't cheat. Both broke the rules though. The rules of Mak'Gora is as follows: Each participant is allowed one weapon. Whether using a shield, dual wielding, or using magic as a 'weapon' is allowed are not specified. A blessing of this weapon by a shaman of their choosing is permitted, but not required. Body armor is forbidden. This is a shaky rule, as some 'spur of the moment' Mak'gora involve both fighters wearing armor. Each participant must have at least one witness.(broken rule by both of them, technically) If both participants refuse to fight one another, they are banished from the clan.Traditionally, it is to the death, but under Warchief Thrall's rule it became a non-lethal combat, similiar to Warsong's Mak'Rogahn. Participants can choose to forgo this change. However, even when operating under the old rules, the victor can choose to spare the loser's life, though it's considered a grave insult. There are no stated rules on the use of magic, but, having been used in multiple Mak'gora duels in different stories and settings, it seems to be permitted.

It would cost an insane amount of money. Like holy fucking shit would it be expensive. Their expansion cinematics cost millions, and just for a minute or so of content. They couldn't afford it, unless they changed from being a game producing company to a movie one. Most of their resources go into their games. Hypothetically though, lets say they did make an amazing animated movie, they would need to think about if they would be able to make the money back, which they probably wouldn't. Disney, Pixar, and other juggernaut's already own the animated market, so they probably wouldn't be able to compete and blizzards fan base is relatively small compared to others, so it would cost more to make and they would see little return.

The Thrall x Garosh mak'gora was a missed opportunity, should have been made by Spielberg. Imagine the scene where earthen hand grabs Garosh, squishes his guts and ribs, bloody mash comes of his mouth instantly. He says what he says, but with less power in his voice and more panic. Since MOP there literally hasn’t been a single original new plot line. We got WOD where we fought against,..the horde. Legion where we fought against....the burning legion. Then we got BFA where we reuse the Garrosh plotline while reusing the whole alliance vs horde trope. Literally no new plots.
