I think Wes was going through a thing around that time. I put 2 and 2 together on that by catching some other interviews where he was very open about questions he had for his music, his other art that he loved doing, his life, life in general. It just shows we're all alike and we all have times when we are drifting away from something or drifting towards something new! Rock Stars and Average folks are the same deep down, in my humble opinion.

yo wes was really fed up at this point, you can really tell in the interviews at start and end. hes like “and i just play guitar” after fred got all the questions and screentime. Kinda sad they fell apart during that time, but also understandable
