This is the kind of guitar I’ve been looking for. I talked with another musician about it and they were like “you mean a bass guitar?” and I couldn’t get them to understand I meant a 4 string guitar lol
@hoedesfresser

you need to show them the 4 string and get them to listen to the songs. its a unique sound. after that they will understand i think :)

A lot of guitarists suprisingly don't know about a lot of stuff abt guitar. Someone was convinced that my guitar wasn't tuned properly, i told im "no it is but i tune it in D" and was so convinced that such a thing like alternative tunings didn't exist.

Prs is set to release the Wes Borland signature. He’s using the Prototype #1 model right now. It’s ridiculously sick. NEED

No other covers are with a guitar like this. So basically the actual accurate cover of this song is this video.

New listener to LB and I have to say this song gives me heavy Primus vibes. Your guitar is beautiful.

If I'm not mistaken Wes modelled his guitar this way because he was influenced by Primus, so you're not wrong :)

The playing is obviously accurate and it's nice to see it done on a 4 string but that tone, dang man... Excellent job dialing that in!

This would be a very accurate cover , would be interesting to see the 7 string ones for other songs in the first two albums

Thank you 👍🏼 wes didnt used the 7 string. The tuning where the same but the high e string where doubled. So it wouldnt make any difference to a 6 string.

@@hoedesfresseryess wes used a 7 string during 1997 to 1999, TDBY was recorded with a 6 string, but the songs were played live with a 7 string. SO was recorded with a 7 string and played with a 7 string in 1999 performances. In 00s is when Wes was starting using 6 string.

@@itschavez115 exactly. But like I said, the high e string was doubled. There are 2 high e strings, same gauge and both in c# tuning

Been listening to this album since the day it was released and just yesterday actually focussed on the guitar track, and it baffled me how weird and genius it is and how well it sits in the rest of the production. was expecting some conventional kind of riff, but nope :D

Dayuuuummm 🔥🔥🔥 I've been looking for a real cover of Nookie w/a 4-string guitar. Can't help it but to headbang while listening to your cover. It brought me to the time when I'm sneaking into my uncle's room to play this song every single time in the late 90s. Good times. What a great Cover🔥🔥🔥

What kind of guitar is that, its fucking dope! I use to have a cheap Fender I tuned to F#. Wes uses the 4 string on Stalemate, Nookie, You Know (Don't Remember/No Control), Full Nelson, The One , & Don't Change. Idk how they recorded Don't Change if Sam played acoustic guitar on it or? I just read an interview & had no idea Wes used his 4 string & an ebow during the bridge part of the song
