Taking photos / playing games like MLBB is pretty solid. Not much heat as it doesn't really use a lot of GPU.

I just got this phone (in Germany) and honestly? I'm liking it very much. I can confirm the faux leather on the back is absolutely great! Such a departure from the normal glass backs that are so slippery I pretty much have to put a cover on it, I won't be using a cover with this unless I'm doing something sporty. The build quality looks (and feels) top notch - I would never guess that there is so much plastic involved, based on the look and feel of the device. And thanks to this non-glass build it is relatively light for a phone this size - it's the same weight as the very lovely and small Xiaomi 13 but has a larger screen and larger battery. I'm very surprised that I actually like holding this "giant" phone, but I really do! It's very comfortable, even with small hands! The charging speed is absolutely ludicrous (in a good way), and even better, I've been using it for a couple of days since last charge and it's still at 60%. Comparing this to another phone I recently trialed which is allegedly "optimized" for battery use, and which consistently lost 15+% battery just overnight (not in use, obvs) this Realme is killing it! I haven't played with the camera much yet, but the zoom shots have been very nice indeed. It seems a little off when processing "green" but I need to try some of the filters, and to be fair, I've had a couple of other phones that mangle "green" handling too. I can't understand what the problem is with this most common color in nature...but it seems to be "a thing". Here, it's not the worst I've seen, but doesn't seem quite right. The software is also appealing, but I may be biased as my last daily driver was an oppo, and realme UI is very similar. I really like realme ui/coloros as it gives me enough customization features out of the box, but isn't absurd eg Xiaomi. I just want to pick some nice colors, nice icon styles, nice ringtones and be done with it. I do NOT want to go spelunking on a "themes" download adventure just to pick a ringtone, ffs. realme ui also seems to allow uninstalling most bloatware (including a lot of google app bloatware!) which I appreciate no end. As I recall they even offered a "do you want to install these extra apps" on setup which made it dead simple to avoid installing most of the cheesy games and other crap I absolutely don't want in the first place. My only concern about this phone is the software support. AFAIK realme is "promising" two years of android and three years of security updates. That's pretty sad, and it's not clear how prompt updates will be, either. I currently have the security patch from July and it's mid September already. Not so impressed with that, but for less than 500 euros, I think I'll risk it :)

altough realme 11 pro plus just launched here in malaysia, i actually bought it last week, some seller already start selling the device before official launch. they are 3 major problem i encountered during the 1 week usage. 1) the battery calibration is not accurate, when fully charged, after 2 hours of active screen usage the battery still stuck at 100% then it will turn off at 30%. 2) this device is heating alotttt even at normal usage like social app and youtube which is uncomfortable to use. i tried to do a genshin impact test, the part on top left screen is burning hot. 3) if you use the camera very long time like 10min, the moisture will appear inside the lens and fogged up which make the photo blur.

Bro I think there’s something critically wrong with your unit. All 3 issues you mentioned are not common issues and I’ve never faced it in any phone. Not just this realme series.

Oh and also, does yours happen to be a China set? If so, then using global apps might tend to cause problem 2. I’ve used a China phone before and using Global apps don’t seem to work very well as it’s not properly optimized. Just my 2 cents.

you know what? Unless you're a dedicated gamer (in which case WHY are you gaming on a freaking phone...not my business but I really don't get it) this processor is absolutely sufficient. The extended battery life is outstanding, and for many people that is actually more important than the "highest" antutu score :/

Realme its better. 200 mp camera from Samsung, that has 4X Lossless zoom. Even at night photography, Real its on par with flagship models. Realme has Starry night photography, for jawbreaking Astrophotos. And also important is the SCREEN. Realme has Tuv quality Screen with NO flickering, that is very bud for the Eyes. Personally i've order 11pro plus, with 12 giga ram 512.

Why? Mediatek processors are plenty capable and give Qualcomm a run for their money. MTK sucks for custom ROMs, but those users are in the minority. For everyday users MTK are plenty powerful and can game really well.

I really hate it when some OEMs, like Realme in this case, only provide one option of storage combination which is 12+512 for Rm1999. I believe majority of the user don't need 512gb storage. These OEMs can literally price it lower by (perhaps Rm1799 or even lower in this case) providing a 256gb option instead of forcing the user to buy a more expensive version.
