Lin Dan from 2006 to 2012 was absolutely unstoppable. I'm a fan of LCW as well, but the statistics don't lie. Lin Dan is the GOAT.

18:14 - "No longer that aura of invincibility..." And he went on to win a couple more world titles, a couple more AE's, another Olympic gold, another Asiad gold. Just puts into perspective the superhuman he was between '06 and '10.

Dandan also came close in 2017's WC, winning silver -- the longevity of his career is amazing!

Wow, in 2011 lin dans smash was all gun blazing. You can see noone ancipated that kinda power in that world championships.

When I see him play on this level it must have been awful to play against him, only awful because at these moments no-one was able to beat him. If you look at his style of playing it is so much more versatile then anyone before and after him. Newbies like Axelsen included and Axelsen is a great player but not on par with Lin Dan at his best.

Ton Postma Axelsen, Momota and even Chen Long are no where close to Lin Dan at his prime
@KeithHiew5 жыл бұрын
That’s why I rate him higher than all the youngsters of today, including Momota. He was on a totally other level. He had more explosive and attacking power compared to Momota, and that’s taking nothing away from Momota at all. I think there was/is only one player who could dominate Lee Chong Wei at his prime, and it had to be this guy.

This year's Lin Dan is very balanced🤔 Younger Lin Dan is Power, Speed and Rough Around this year to London Olympic, his skill is so sophisticated😎not just Power and Speed🤔 But His skill is going to be improved, he don't use full-smash😢

no one can stand a chance when lin dan plays at this level. the speed, accuracy, defense, net strength, etc. Lin is just too good no matter compare to the players before or after. It is just like: When Lin smashes, he gets a chance to win a point When Lin's opponent smashes, he gets a chance to lose a point.

Still cannot Match to lin Dan. Lcw prime probably can match current kento . But still no one came close to lin dan.

@@Zheheng82 kento is never as same level as lcw. Kento just can be matched with Chenlong
@Zheheng824 жыл бұрын
@@manhbuiquang252 don’t forget Lcw has never obtain any important title . While Chen long has 1 Olympic 2 world championship title. Well you may argue they are from the same era and he doesn’t have a strong competitor like lin dan. I still personally think that Chen long is too stiff for Lcw. Kento is definitely able to match with Lcw or probably even better than prime Lcw. U May Say that kento style of playing is slow, less entertaining, but 1 great thing about kento is that he has the ability to neutralise shots just like how lin dan did to chong wei or other players all the time. Attacking players when play against kento is like hitting the shuttle into the wall and expect to be able to penetrate it. Don’t be naive, Lcw fancy style of playing is what people like about him so much so do I. To talk about ability. Lin Dan is no doubt the best, kento, Chen long and lcw are around the same level

@@Zheheng82 bruh i think you don't know about LCW anything. Most time no. 1 ranked player, most wins in individual record and about titles he is short of world Championship and Olympic gold only. Other than that he has every title in his bag. Don't forget 3 olympic silvers and in world Championship too. And yeah LCW in his thirties has beaten your kid Kento.But LD is the best , skillwise LD and LCW were on same level but mental attitude of LD was of GOD, that's why he actually was GOD.
@KeithHiew4 жыл бұрын
@@pankajjaswalpk1971 he’s just stating the truth. LCW played in three Olympic finals, four world finals, one Asiad final, so that’s eight bites of the cherry to win one of the big titles, and great as it was to play in so many finals, he failed to win any one of them. Eight chances, 0 titles. You ever heard of this guy Jimmy White? Meanwhile, the “kid” Kento already has two world titles. Not saying LCW isn’t a great player, but let’s not downplay the success of Kento, who is 12 years behind LCW. And LCW himself was a late bloomer, he “only” won his first All England at age 27.
