Lee CW is such a worthy opponent for crazy guy like Lin D. I like them both. They are the real ying & yang pair. LCW is calm, classy, and can keep his cool, while LD is badass, hot-temper dude. Even LD admits himself he likes LCW as a friend outside the court and even invited LCW to his wedding.

For Lin Dan, win the Gold is not really important, because he is waiting someone to defeat him, so if Lee chong wei knock down him finally, it will much more pleasure to him. Lin Dan respect everyone, he won the Gold in Beijing, he can leave the Gold to others in Rio, but he respect his opponent of sportsmanship, if you want to win, do you best and take it, but not beg for it.

Yes, he did, not only LCW invited Lin dan, he even invited China badminton head coach Li Yongbo and other chinese badminton players. Funny thing is neither of them unable to attend each other's wedding due to schedule conflict, while Li Yongbo, and bao chunglai attended both weddings. u can google lee chon wei's wedding and u can see photos of Li yongbo and bao chunglai at LCW's wedding.

the special icing on the cake was this was 4 years after just winning on China homefield in Beijing he followed up by winning this in London. something strangely coincidental about Lin Dan and perhaps being a Chinese player showing best performance in front of the British & just check his All-England open records if you don't believe me, that it was less about just besting LCW who he always had a great record against, but the excitement came from more so it being truly a national pride moment.
