Yeah, I think he cried several times, if not throughout the whole song. Either that or he had a lot of crusties in his eyes from sleeping. Either way his reactions are adorable and in some spots he looks like the kid who plays bass and gets really into it. Lol

@ dumb dumb Well, I guess you’re aptly named on here. So yes, the first live performance of the song “Alexander Hamilton” was at the WH for the Obamas. But I think OP more was referring to the numerous actors in “Hamilton” who are on the record as saying that when the show was pitched to them as “a musical about Alexander Hamilton and the Founding Fathers”, that the idea sounded absolutely ridiculous, far fetched and likely to not succeed. They were also clear to point out that once they heard the music and saw how Lin wanted to implement that idea, they were immediately 100% on board.

To put this into perspective: there've only been two other Weird Al polkas that have been about just one subject. One was only Rolling Stones songs, and the other was his polka version of "Bohemian Rhapsody." Lin just got the same privilege as the Rolling Stones and Queen. How do you like that! EDIT: Polkamon also counts. Polka Face was made up of multiple songs, so it’s not the same thing. (Perform This Way, on the other hand, is specifically a Gaga parody, but that’s not the same thing either. Al has done plenty of polkas with multiple artists and parodies of specific artists, but rarely does he do polkas on one artist or subject).

Weird Al is secretly one of the best musicians of the late 20th/early 21st century. No joke.

I was irritated that the video seems to be very slightly behind the audio, but then I saw the original video. If it takes asynchronous sound to keep Jimmy Fallon from ruining this video, it will have been worth it.

Did Fallon seriously not realize how intrusive and disrespectful it was to split screen himself into this video? Sure he's a big fan but you're literally putting yourself on par with THE CREATOR. That would be like if Weird Al made a parody of "Let It Be" and then John Lennon reacted to it in a split screen with Rosie O'Donnell. What sense did it make?

Amen! I appreciate this one much better. I actually felt anger at Jimmy for ruining it. And it wasn't just his presence. It was that he kept reacting loudly and talking over it as Lin-Manuel was listening. It was irritating and took away from the experience.

Jimmy Fallon ruins everything. He was also annoying in Jurassic World as an instructional video in the movie. Everyone in the theater started moaning in disgust when he appeared.

Thanks for commenting this, I was wondering why the music was dubbed on top so that I couldn’t hear his reaction too. Now I’m glad I’ve only seen this version
