Yep that's the politics of film, he probably bullied him for being a decent actor and not conforming to daft usa cultural stereotypes. they never expected Whittle to be able to bring such presence to a character with so few words and lines and control freaks like JR would rather sabotage a show than be pleasantly impressed like normal people.

ckzckw tbh i think KR bullied him cus ricky tried to leave in season 2 probably due to a lack of screen time (although i liked his drug storyline) so decided to keep giving him no screen time.

He was always meant to be a minor role, but they couldn't believe their luck he brought a sense of credible realness to the show. They expected him to beg for a new contract you know like how the cast for Angel (BTVS) were put through but Whittle had a back-up plan. And control freak JR decided to bully him, remember the early interviews all the cast were kept on their toes regards if they would return and you could tell they that genuinely didn't know the length of their stay on the show. goodriddance to JR, miss Lincoln but so happy for Whittle standing his ground.

Beautiful video :) Lincoln (also Octavia, must mostly Lincoln) is the reason I was hooked to this series. I couldn't care less about Clarke, Bellamy, or even Raven. I would trade any of those three if it meant Lincoln could come back. JR's decision to completely undermine this character was a horrible one at that. Unless by some miracle Lincoln comes back, I won't continue watching this show. Season 3 is the worst thus far. A great series- ruined by the ignorance of one person: Jason Rothenberg.

Thank you... for posting this. I have loved the character (and yes, the gorgeous actor) since the first time he came into the camera lens. Watching Octavia fight on through her grief... was making me miss him and I had to revisit this bit of trauma. To remind myself of how terrible that really, REALLY was. Sighs.
