Such memories. I’m 58. I never rode on comet but my older sister day. I was at Lincoln Park almost every weekend.

Actually she was my second coaster, I rode the "Baby Comet", what was she called? That was a really fun coaster, for us little kids. But "The Comet", scared the hell out of us kids. That was the Big Coaster, the first time I rode it, I thought I was going to fly out of the seat! Took me awhile before I let go that bar or my toes grabbing on. When I finally got the guts to let go of the rail, I still pulled them down a little, when we went under that BIG BEAM!

My home town is Assonet/Freetown and I remember that roller coaster good. I almost flew out of the cart !! In the early 80s I was alittle short of the "You must be this tall" measurement but my father got me on. As we went over the top of "Lift Hill" (shown in the video) I started lifting out of the seat and my father looked over and pulled me down and back in the seat. Awesome! The only thing that holds people in is a thin bar that goes across the riders laps.

Thats amazing how you did that, awesome job.. I live in Fall River & just drove by it today as a matter of fact.. All the dozers are there now getting ready to knock it all down. Im 40 now & always remember going as a kid with my mom.. Sad to see it go. Sweet vid man. CHRIS........

Deb Hy - our whole neighborhood would go every year, when Mrs Bond would charter a bus , every summer. One time I rode roller coaster six times in a row. My Mom would send my brother and I with plenty of fried chicken and potatoes salad to share with others. Wow! That was in the sixties. I’m 67 y.o now. ❤️😃👍🏾
