This is the future I want. That enourmous screen fits so well into the dash; it doesnt look tacked on as an after thought nor does it make the dash look bulky at all. I love flat bottom and flat top steering wheels in general, and I have to say, as a small person, I feel like I FIT better in cars that have implemented looking over as opposed to thru the steering wheel. The controls on the steering wheel that show you what they do on the screen thats near your eyes is epic tbh. Maybe it's because I'm a gamer, but that feels SO natural to me. Altho as a gamer, I'm not sure I would ever use my car as a game system, but I guess that's cool too. I despise having to control the airvents from an infotainment menu; let me just grab and move the vents please. But the moving vents seem like it would be a cool option, and in my own car where I could set it and forget it, maybe it wouldnt be too bad. And I think that applies to a lot of the info that these screens can give you; you're meant to choose your settings and then leave it, not be messing with it as you're driving down the road, so having to go into the infotainment menu to change whats on the big screen realistically probably isnt a problem.

Did Lincoln and Ford actually make use of the 48" screens for BlueCruise notifications? Is there a pillar to pillar length light bar that shows up green, red, and orange to properly notify drivers of what the system is doing? If it doesn't, that is a huge missed opportunity with the 48" screen. I prefer dedicated physical buttons for HVAC and seat climate controls. I also prefer manual air vent controls. The oscillating feature is definitely nice but for my body, I prefer either direct air flow or indirect air flow. Forcing a passenger to go into the screen to adjust their climate or air vents isn't something I like. I know the HVAC and climate settings are always at the bottom but physical buttons are always easier and safer to maneuver without having to look at a screen as a driver. How do the screens do in direct sunlight? I'm happy to see more screens and bigger screens. I'm also happy to see the dedicated shifter buttons instead of a stalk shifter (or worse, in-screen shifter like Tesla). A little disappointed they don't have air vents on the B pillar and only in the back of the center console.
