Bitter is often from the alkaloids in the plants. Very helpful in small amounts. Can cause issues if used in large amounts. Digestive bitters have been used for decades to help digest foods. Dandelion and burdock is still a drink you can get in the U.K. Asian cultures make great burdock root salad. I have learned a lot from seeing what other cultures use as medicine or eat. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, Linda.

This is awesome! The knowledge we can gain from these Native American Indians is worth its price in gold. Since a very small child I have been so fascinated by their way of life. I became proficient w/a bow & arrow bcaz of their influences.

❤❤❤ I just love you and you're so cute. I love lemonade and the colors because it was so garden of Eden, but I am so glad you're going around. Because what's up there. It's not exactly down here. Some of the yellow light mole in them and then like that. But, you know, so thank you again. I love you so much. I appreciate everything you do.🎉

It's so amazing to learn that indigenous Americans share the same concept that herbs growing in nature are food and natural medicine and when we eat them, we are healing our bodies and preventing diseases. That's exactly what traditional Chinese food and medicinal theory entails. Cultures with a long history of foraging and farming usually have a deep connection with nature. Sadly, colonisation destroyed so much civilisation. Good to see now this knowledge is being shared on social media.

Careful when foraging in parks and city property, make sure you know if, what and/or when they spray for weed and pest control, and also you never quite know what may have pooped or peed there, so please wash things first!

One of the things dandelion root can do is increase your red blood cell count. That's awesome if you're anemic! However, my doctors thought for years that I had hemachromatosis because my RBC count was so high...turns out I just needed to cut back on the dandelion root tea! Everything in moderation. 😅 Thanks for this awesome information! One of my family has a poison ivy rash right now, so this was extra timely.

The burdock one is great to know too. Every time it gets warm. I get this rash on my nut sack that comes and goes and maybe that'd work best.
