Linda Cliatt-Wayman, the principal of Strawberry Mansion High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, addresses a sold-out crowd of 7,000 in her keynote speech at the Nov. 1 Pennsylvania Conference for Women.
In 2013, Wayman left her job as assistant superintendent for all 52 high schools in Philadelphia to return to the neighborhood where she grew up to lead the merger of three neighborhood high schools. Her efforts to establish Strawberry Mansion High School as a safe and academic institute for learning was featured on ABCs' "Nightline" and "World News Report."
