Just learned that Linda died back in May of this year. Loved her voice and wish she'd produced a lot more. Thanks Linda. R.I.P.

RIP Linda; the best version of Tim Rice/ Andrew Lloyd Webber's song ever. Beautiful lady with a beautiful voice.

Just for clarification, although "I'd be Surprisingly Good for You" is indeed from Evita, "Sleeping Like a Baby Now" is from a different musical, Dear Anyone, with lyrics by Don Black and music by Geoff Stephens. And what a marvellous song it is, delivered by Linda in her unique style. I love those big dominant chords underpinned by timpani towards the end of each chorus, and the girl singers echoing "Sleeping like a baby." Mike Batt produced the original record in his typically fulsome style, with all the stops pulled out (it's on the album Hacienda View), and this performance is a very faithful version of it. Fantastic!
