I'm going through anorexia and you don't really know how much you're helping: all my fyp is toxic, like "what I eat restricting" or "how to lose 5kg in 2 days", 'cause you know, I search that and that feeds my ed. But then I see one of your videos and I feel like it's fine to recover (sometimes I don't want to). So thank you so much, what you say like "I see other people eat so I don't have to" it's so relatable and makes me see that if you're so healthy and happy now, I can too. Thank you so much. Guys, you're not alone ❤️❤️❤️

@clouise87524 жыл бұрын
YES. i'm struggling with my own journey, but calorie counting ruined me as well. i would look at food and anything that was around 200 calories or more, i would be freaked out. and then it would put me in the mindset of "okay, let's just eat all the calories if everything is high in calories." and this resulted in me binge eating daily as well as overeating. and when i would be done with my binges, i would look at the food and think about all the calories i just consumed. all the macros too. and again, my mind would think the same thing that since i've already gone over my limit, might as well keep going.
@partypartyyeahh28714 жыл бұрын
you are worth more than your eating disorder !! i've been through it and trust me recovery is so much worth it !! and linda helped me a lot but talk to someone mature to help you and don't forget to listen to your body cause you only have one !!!! it takes time but the fight is worth it (sorry for my english if i made any mistake)
@harnoorb8874 жыл бұрын
I did the same thing and then I’d starve myself for a whole day to make up for all the calories I ate. and I’m ngl I still do that sometimes. But I’m getting better. I started intuitive eating and eating mindfully. I still count calories but very roughly (like I’ll calculate that for brekkie I had 400 and lunch I had 500 etc). It started working for me after a few weeks of consistent healthy (and unhealthy but yummy hehe) eating + doing workouts I enjoy like dancing and cassey ho and Lilly sabri. everyone’s body and personality is different, so what works for me might not work for you but I hope you can figure it out and have a healthy relationship w yourself. Linda is the most positive, energetic and greatest person who talks about health and fitness on YT right now. While I always go back to the base of 'calories out has to exceed calories in' to lose weight, the bigger problem that so many people who are losing weight miss is the quality of food. If you eat 2000 calories of fast food, it's objectively going to be less nutritious than a balanced diet of fruit, vegetables, protein, etc. Everything has to be done together as Linda touched on - sleep, diet, exercise, stress and so much more. Eating healthily is ONE aspect of a healthy lifestyle. I've lost 50lbs and I don't count my calories that much anymore, as long as I have a vague idea of what I've eaten. I still eat pizza, biscuits, ice cream but I do it IN MODERATION. On top of that, it's a lifestyle change, not a crash diet and then back to normal - that is overwhelmingly where people fail because they refuse to adapt their habits on a long term basis. Also when you move out, can I move in because your mum is an amazing cook and would love to try her Bing!

she has no idea how much she has changed my life. She made me not feel guilty for eating,and she made me enjoy working out. Idk if it's just me but seeing her working out brings me so much motivation and happiness. After a long time of torturing myself I am finally loving myself and my body and I am feeding it the way that i should be fed and not starving it. I sincerely wanna thank you Linda,keep going!

I literally just want a friend like you. Who is driven to be healthy inside and out, have a healthy relationship with food and yourself. I came across your channel a few days ago and I have binged watched a lot of your videos. I have had protein pancakes every day since..... WHY..... because I freaking love pancakes and I feel so much relief knowing that I can have pancakes if I want them! The family dynamic is an added bonus. Your family is so supportive. I just love all that this channel represents.

I was forced to eat past fullness tonight. I'm not starving anymore and I been intuitively eating for 3 months after starving myself for more than 4 months. I gained a bit of the weight back but Im starting to love my body now. I'm satisfied with 3 meals a day but the adults don't like what I look like. And they're trying to literally make me gain weight against my will. And this is not my disordered thoughts making their way here. I literally cannot sleep and function the next day after being forced to eat like this. Linda has been my inspiration and I'm trying to stay strong as I watch this but I'm really tired.

Are u going through recovery? I’m a recovered anorexic and I used to feel just like u. I hated being forced to eat even though I was having health issues. My disordered thoughts kept me really paranoid but u have to understand the people around u are just worried too. And after u gain the weight back, u still have to keep going bc it’s a MENTAL disorder. But honestly I wished I found Linda during my recovery bc she’s so motivating. You may not think it’s your disorder thoughts speaking but if you’re going through recovery and only eating 3 meals a day, you’ll relapse easily. It’s good to go at your own pace but u have to do 3 meals and 3 snacks. It’ll freak u out and it was hard but you’ll get your freedom from your eating disorder back
@juliaramas35584 жыл бұрын
@@t._.s2983 I understand what you mean and I understand that they're worried for me. I wasn't really diagnosed and my disordered eating habits only started last March. When I say I'm being forced to eat tho, I meant being forced to eat where it's painful and uncomfortable. When they do that, I end up in pain and unable to move the next day and I wanted to avoid that. When they force me, they're the ones putting things on my plate. They don't even ask me if I want more, they just keep putting and putting. The reason why I really can't bring myself to listen to them is bc they tell me "I don't care if you're full, u have to keep eating" and it kind of triggers me ykno. They mean well but I feel like it's damaging still. They don't have the best eating habits too. They forced me to eat at 5 am in the morning once and I couldn't sleep. At all. Although, you might be right, this could be my disordered thoughts. Thank you for your concern tho :>

@@juliaramas3558 Ur doing great!!! The fact that you’re going through recovery and trying to eat is already a big step. I know it might be hard but I recommend talking to your family about portions and possibly splitting it up by having snacks. Bloating was a huge problem and my stomach was hurting everyday since I was so used to starvation. I also suggest telling them these factors because it can be painful for your body and you’ll need to find methods to soothe it. Also you should tell them about triggers because the smallest triggers can impact our disorder greatly. You’re very strong!!!! And remember that you’re making this decision for yourself, not for anybody else. You’re loving yourself, because u matter the most 💖

@@qinthararineksa7018 For me, I took some medications for bloating and honestly I had to get used to the pain. It didn’t go away fast but eventually your body gets used to it. I also drank lactose free milk instead bc it turned out that I was also lactose intolerant

I’m trying to move on from my “past Linda” mentality. Watching you really gives me the confidence I need to feel good about my body, to not obsess over every little calorie, to not stress when I’ve gained an extra 3 pounds or so, to not limit myself from the joy I can feel if I just eat what I want, but to also take care of my body and release all the pent up stress by working out. Thank you Linda, because without you I’m not sure when I would have stop punishing my self by feeling worthless or like I’m not good enough when ever I eat more than what the app says I should. I’m not sure when I would have stopped punishing myself by thinking that if I eat take that bowl of ice cream I’m a failure. I’m so glad I have found you, and there are thousands of people whose view on life you have changed. Please keep doing what you are doing...it would be a lie if I said that I didn’t cry throughout this video. I love you, we all do❤️.

You are such an inspiration!😍 This video is so relatable to the issues I struggle with. I so desperately want to just eat without feeling guilt or worry about calories or plan my whole day around food instead of just enjoying life. I want to look back and think, wow, so many amazing memories. I want to look back and be happy I didn't restrict myself, that I ate what I love not what the lowest calorie option was. I admit, I was, and am the same a bit now. Daily, I watch 'what I eat in a day' videos and compare myself to others, wanting to be like them. When I should be nourishing my body with the fuel I need, not what they need. I want to fix my relationship with food and your videos are 100% helping me so much. The best word to describe you has to be inspiring. Thank you so much! You go girly🥰
