To be honest, I needed a few views back then to realize the story twist. It's the women who hunt! You can tell by the mark the woman gets when she kills one of the creatures. A red line across her face and stomach. Some already had it before. Actually so obvious and yet so subliminal. Really brilliantly done.

The creatures are people in costumes, known as "khukeri" from Bulgaria (and some other Balkan countries). They are traditional costumes to ward off evil spirits. The Bulgarian equivalent of the Austrian Krampus (or the US Halloween costumes).

That was fun! I like the twist in the tale when it turns out that the women are the actual hunters and they have set a trap for these "metal monsters" to cut off their heads. As a reward, one woman gets the blood-stained line on her body that the other women already have. Which means they play the same game over and over again and the men fall for it.

Till is so often accused of misogyny - when you watch the videos, the women *always* win. They may suffer, but their revenge is ruthless.
