Seen Fernando pitch many times. I’m a left handed pitcher and my move to the plate was a cross between Fernando and Kershaw. My HS team won the city championship, and I went on to make the ALL OHIO team back in 1983. I tried college but the season came right after I decided college wasn’t for me. I went in to play from 84-85 in the “Federation” adult leagues and American Legion winning many honors. Joined the United States Marines and from 87-89 pitches nearly every game for our team in the San Diego adult league with special invite to a Padres tryout, which I went ahead and tore my rotator cuff. After years of never having a sore arm, it caught up to me and didn’t take very good care of my arm, as I didn’t see a need, until the injury. I went 2 years without throwing anything, even footballs because I didn’t want to relive that pain again. But yes, FERNANDO was late 70’s early 80’s and I absolutely loved him on the bump. Here’s a name that was all the rage, I went to watch him pitch against the Yankees in Detroit. Mark “the Bird” Fiddrich. THAT WAS A SHOW! He won the Cy Young that year. Check his antics out. Mid to early 70’s.

I’m 69 and saw Fernando pitch a few times in person. I believe he also pitched for the Padres. I was also blessed to see Sandy Koufax pitch for the Dodgers. I remember watching Dean Chance and Nolan Ryan pitch for the Angels. The craziest thing for me was to see Don Sutton pitch for both the Dodgers and Angels. Good times and I was a very fortunate kid. ⚾️

I feel like my team is slowly becoming the angels giving away all of our good players for garbage and keeping the “back in my day type players”. Tommy left the cards and started mashing so im glad but im still mad at my team for trading him for nothing

I remember when Fernando Venezuela made it to the majors I think a lot of is early notoriety was due to the fact that he didn’t want to be promoted or at least that’s what people said because he was enjoying the food in the minor leagues too much not 100% sure that’s true, but that was the reporting going around at the timeI. I was in baseball cards back then and had his rookie card. I don’t even wanna know how much that rookie card is worth now. I’m 58 so when he came up, I really enjoyed watching him because I was in high school and baseball. Was life back then

Been meaning to ask this. I noticed AJ uses the edge controller. Does anyone have any good hitting settings for it? Just trying to stay competitive at this game even though I’m pushing 50 lol. Any help would be appreciated
