If only Lindsay hadn't gone off the rails in her personal life. I would have liked to have seen what Herbie and the Peyton family would have done next. Maybe establish that Jim Douglas had been a family friend to the Peytons and he had been in declining health in a nursing home. After watching Maggie and Herbie win the race, Jim contacts Ray Sr to congratulate Maggie and he wishes to see Herbie one last time before he passes away.

Maybe it*s me, but the movie Herbie fully loaded, somehow, did not keep up with the the rest of the movies, it somehow jumps to the present, instead of giving a brief story as to where was Herbie all that time, towards the middle , of the movie, you see Herbie , with all kinds of racing equipment, from one of the regular Nascar cars, I thought Herbie was a race car all ready.

i think he was considered a "race car" in the era (60's and 70's) where race cars were basically built stock with light mods to them. so Herbie probably ended up needing all the 21st century modifications to keep up with modern cars in H.F.L
