A very clever man, says it how it is in a few words but he knows his trade, always admire guitar techs as I have trouble tuning a 12 string but what this guy knows could fill a hall. Great interview. Thanks for this, and I always love to listen to Lindsay's guitar playing, it made FM.

it's interesting after watching several of these, that when asked what do all the knobs on the guitar do? the tech will say, they're all by-passed, all that's working is volume and tone... Hmmm, might be a reason there.

Pretty funny how they skipped the Gibson Chet Atkins Cutaway Electric Classical guitar that he uses on "Big Love". Rick Turner sponsored the video, so I can see why they skipped it, but the Chet Atkins is no longer in production. Rick is a super cool guy and I believe his Renaissance guitars are way better than the Gibson Chet Atkins guitars, both electronically and physically.

To the audience it sounds perfect and consistent. The DD-3 is a very solid pedal. The same could be said with the GR-50 synths. Pretty antiquated compared to the VG-99 & GR-55. It's just solid, tried and true reliable gear. Thank god Linds keeps it down to earth, well, except for the Turners! :)

Yessir. Preamp from a Sony TC630 to be exact. Switched to the first Mesa Boogie MKI / II in the late 70s with the Hiwatt cabs and there was a time where he was using Marshall heads with the Hiwatt cabs. Some ppl here are giving him a hard time for using Mesa's even with just a clean tone, though those Mesa's are LOUD with a massive amount of headroom. You don't get that with many other amps.

Josh Lovegood I believe you are correct my man. Have you ever heard of the Hawaiian A tuning? Very beautiful when used for electric guitar, especially when using a slide. It’s the original tuning for a lap steel, I believe. EAEAC#E. Very cool to experiment with and play around with until you get used to it. And you will always find your tonic on the 5th fret. ✌️
