Is she actually playing it tho? I mean, singers actually lip sync to there songs for their music videos & seeing as Lindsey's music is violin playing it wouldn't require her to do much other than strum the violin in a way that looks like it's actually being played

I just heard this song on the radio on the way to work, not knowing about it, and my first thought was “Oh! Sterling released some Christmas music.” The violin sounded so lively and I could clearly see the musician being very expressive and just as lively in their actions as the playing itself. I’ll admit, I was a bit worried I was being quick to judge. Fearing it wasn’t the artist I thought and that I’m discrediting other violin musicians because I associate such instruments to one particular individual. While I still feel bad that I didn’t question my deduction that I came to instantly, I’m comforted that I wasn’t wrong about it either.

Lindsey Stirling has grown in many ways as an artist in the last 15 years. Now witness how the presence of her artistry has advanced into the spectacular backbend displayed here in this preview video. One thing that has not changed in all this time has been her commitment to her audience. The title of this music video is “Joy to the World”, and that is exactly what Lindsey has been bringing to the world for 15+ years. If bringing joy to the world was her mission and intent, I would say she has succeeded.

Okay, I've seen tons videos of you, on many different platforms. I like this video, it reminds me of your first hits. I've been following you since the very first videos, the road you've taken is indescribable. What can I say? Well, I've never seen an artist take care of her fans like Lindsey Stirling. On average, one video published per day and always with new ideas. Where do you find the time and energy? (for madness, well, that's a gift of nature, you know :-). Nobody else does that, it's absurd. You are art in the flesh, no one else fits the word Artist so well. In my opinion, Lindsey should be given an award for this. Among other records, Michael Jackson has the wildest and most devoted fans in the world. You fully deserve to be in the Guinness Book of World Records for insane fan care and continuous creativity. I no longer have any doubts about it, your success is unlimited and timeless. Perhaps, not even you fully realize what you have done and are doing. Lindsey is the reason why, the word Art is worthy to exist!

I 1st encountered Lindsey when she was featured on PTX's "Over the River" after having also been featured on their cover of "Radioactive", so I says to myself, "self, maybe you should check her out." Went to her channel, found her latest album (at the time, Artemis), and hit play. The music and video of the 1st track, "Underground", left me absolutely gobsmacked, and I've been a fan ever since. Just got her latest album, Snow Waltz, to complete my Lindsey collection (of albums, at least)!

"Joy to the World" is an English Christmas carol. The carol was written in 1719 by the English minister and hymnwriter Isaac Watts, and its lyrics are an interpretation of Psalm 98 celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Today, the carol is usually sung to an 1848 arrangement by the American composer Lowell Mason. Since the 20th century, "Joy to the World" has been the most-published Christmas hymn in North America. From Wiki- which I hesitate to use anymore- but this Historical note, IS accurate. Found it a bit strange this isn't included in the video, that I could find anywhere, so I posted it.
