This video is entirely symbolic. The “cage” (the room) and its walls is actually the journey of life. As you can tell, she doesn’t escape from it just like we cannot escape from life’s constraints and problems. The violin lights the bulbs and candles, bringing with it warmth, light, and happiness into the dark and cold room. She never escapes but she finds joy within her cage and is content. Whoever you are, I hope you find your violin in your cage.
@timgrant12192 жыл бұрын
I have believed that the candles and bulbs are us, her fans. Notice how her playing the violin gives us light to shine around us. Notice how we are still shining after the song ends. Even her violin shines. Yes...the Power of Lindsey!

Wonderfully told, Ka. :) Yeh I realized I've found my violine (work, I really enjoy doing) like 2 years ago and my candle (representation for my husband) like... 10 years ago. I am trapped in a cage but at least I am no more alone.

I don't want to be someone's sun; I want to be someone's moon, the small bit of light that remains with them when it's dark, comforts them, and lights their way. I want to be the song of their caged bird, and if I'm lucky, they will be the same for me.

I'm that one! The one with the overflowing flame that's about to burn down the building! ... Wait, what?
"You can't take darkness out of a dark room, but you can fill it with light." ~ Lindsey Stirling When the world plunges into darkness, Guardians come to Earth, people whose aura is indigo. They carry the overwhelming power of light, kindness and warmth to this world. Her smile kindles hearts, her music changes people for the better. Each person has a guardian angel that protects him, and we do not know what form he can take. Today is an old man, tomorrow is a young girl. But do not let its appearance confuse you: an angel is fiercer than any dragon. But not in battle, but in attempts to reach out to us and remind who we really are. For only we ourselves have complete control over the world that we create around us.

If I were a bird I would glide to the sky I would brush the wispy clouds as I fly by And then I would dive through wind and breeze And I would feel the earth as it lives and breathes I’d slice through the air with fiery wings And against the white sun I would begin to sing And through the hush of the air my story would go Whispering secrets it would blow Then the the rivers would gurgle and the trees would hiss Of the dark swirling depths of my soul’s abyss Gold eyes ablaze and bronze talons alight To the sun I would soar as it sinks into night And as my soul burns from it’s scorching heat My freedom as a bird would be complete To the Heavens I’d go to finish my song Melodies drifting all nightlong And after I died everyone would know Of the bird whose eyes would always glow Who’s secrets were kept locked within Her flamed wings never to be seen again

This made me cry. What a powerful wordless tale. WHEW! I can relate to this. Trapped in a cage & the only source of 'light' is what you create. You keep making music because it's the one little joy you can nurture into all of your happiness. It's kind of hard not to feel this way when the world can be such a dark place. Keep creating beauty, & the world will never run out! It's up to each of us to create our own light.

Lindsey, I have been having a very hard time lately. My marriage of 15 years has ended, I have 2 teenagers, one of which is adopted. Sometimes when I am at my wits end I will pull up your videos, and your musical style and the sound of your violin always brings me back. The way you seem to absolutely love to play. the fact of your cute little smile. Those things are what make you truly a treasure to this Earth. I just wanted you to know how you inspire some of your fans... and I am truly a fan. How does someone get to collaborate with you? My daughter has an amazing talent with her vocals. She is the adopted one and is a very troubled youth with nothing but her aspiration to be an artist keeping her grounded to this world.

This song makes me think that she wants to be free, but doesn't know her purpose, so she looks for it. But she finds her talent and it can be found anywhere, even in a box. But when she discovers her violin, she's in awe. Then she played it, and she found who she was truly meant to be and her whole life lights up. Literally. This is one of my favorite songs because it's not only beautiful, it also taught me that sometimes I can't wait for my purpose to find me, I have to find it. And that's why I too play violin.

But there's always hope, either that light in the dark or the song in the cage that trapped you. And only when you find hope do you realize that you're trapped, not just in the walls of the room around you, but in the darkness around you

When I first discovered Lindsey it was this song. And till this day I still break the repeat button constantly every single time it's recommended to me or pops up on replay. It's just such a beautiful song. But fun at the same time. And it has a beat you can fallow with. And for someone Autistic like me it has the right tempo and range of sounds that just calms me down. It's my go to song. Will always be my go too song. Not to down play the rest of Lindsey's work I listen to other tracks just as much. But this one tops em in my opinion. Love it.

Elle illustre parfaitement ce petit oiseau coincé au fond de nous qui ne désire qu'une chose : se libérer. 🕊

If this were in Bioshock Infinite, nobody would complain because it would fit so well.

Explanation of the video for me: Two years ago I was in a great depression where I was in the dark all day, I only went out to go to school and I had almost no friends since I had changed schools and the previous ones never spoke to me again. It was in the dark and he met Lindsey. With this video I feel and think that it relates this same situation. Being locked up and not being able to go outside, always being in the dark and trying to escape but not being able to. Until we look inside ourselves, try to find our own light, what makes us unique, be our own friend and support so that we do not fall again because of anything or anyone. It is my opinion.

This is how I thought of this video... I have believed that the candle and bulbs are us, her fans. Notice how her playing the violin gives us light to shine around us. Notice how we are still shining after the song ends. Even her violin shines. Yes...the Power of Lindsey!

This song made me realize that no matter how bad life got for me, I cannot let the world taint my angel wings. To show courage and be kind. I made that promise to two of my friends who were killed and I will continue to be kind to others.

And I think that Lindsay sings about how there's nothing better than the music that unites people, brings joy to everyone that it would save in a difficult moment, and protect against various misfortunes. When you listen to music you like you catch the angels of heaven, but for every one person music sounds in different interpretations and gives everyone the profound meaning. In general, the best music according to scientists it is classical music, where all the notes shimmer like the atoms in nature and exist harmoniously among themselves and delighting delighting true connoisseur of real live music.

This is my life theme song... So beautiful... Lindsey has inspired me to pick back up music as I have fallen away from it for around 9 to 10 years. Only this time, I'm learning to play the violin.

Anyone notice that Lindsey has a genuine expression and smile of pure happiness on her face when she plays? (Same wit the cellist in the Piano guys) It's almost like ecstasy.
