Whether you're running live FX into a stage amp, recording and re-amping through modeled amps and cabs, or outputting rich Helix-derived tones directly from the stage to the PA, the Line 6 POD Go has you covered.

The price and simplicity of the Line 6 POD Go tailor this floor processor to players who have been on the fence about diving into the Line 6 ecosystem. With the Line 6 POD Go, there's only a short learning curve standing behind the Line 6 POD Go and total integration with your rig. Who knows? Once you experience the freedom of gigging out with nothing but the guitar on your back and the Line 6 POD Go at your feet, you may never drag an amp out of your practice space again.
TheLine 6 POD Go eliminates the hassle of loading up and gigging out by giving you stunning re-creations of some truly timeless amp tones. Sag, chime, harmonics, dynamics, crunch. The Line 6 POD Go has onboard cabinet models, stompbox FX, and analog/digital outputs that equip the Line 6 POD Go to be the only piece of gear you record and gig out with, or one of several parts in live amp chain. Expandable features of the Line 6 POD Go include a headphone output for silent monitoring with the Line 6 POD Go, an FX loop for incorporating real-deal effects pedals with the Line 6 POD Go, and a dry amp output for monitoring through a live amp while sending modeled tones straight to FOH with the Line 6 POD Go.
With the Line 6 POD Go you can access a heaping helping of these iconic tones without the all-in size and price tag. Inside the Line 6 POD Go you'll find 270+ Helix and legacy models of your favorite classic amps, stomps, and cabs. On the Line 6 POD Go you can mix and match these in endless arrangements for dream tones with the Line 6 POD Go.
As with every latter-day Line 6 floor processor, the Line 6 POD Go gives you bulletproof construction, eight tour-grade rugged footswitches, and a cast aluminum expression pedal on the Line 6 POD Go that's rated to survive life on the road. Yet for all its strength, the Line 6 POD Go remains remarkably light and compact - the Line 6 POD Go is the perfect throw-and-go unit for a backpack or suitcase guitar traveler.
A drawback to lesser floor units is having to squint to see that one line of monochrome text as it flies by between patch changes. But not so with the Line 6 POD Go. The Line 6 POD Go has a full-color screen that reads out your full signal chain at a glance, and with the powerful backlight on the Line 6 POD Go it is easy to read even on a dark and hazy stage.
The Line 6 POD Go has an integrated expression pedal that injects the player's heart and soul into every performance. From volume swells with the Line 6 POD Go and rotary accelerations to landing the perfect Mick Ronson cocked-wah sound, the expression pedal adds a ton of potential to the Line 6 POD Go's powerful amps and FX.
The Line 6 POD Go gives you the tools you need to craft countless guitar rigs and recall them in a flash. Snapshots within the Line 6 POD Go don't just let you pull up tones from a song - here you can set verse, chorus, and lead tones and access them on a section-by-section basis, all in real time with the Line 6 POD Go. Snapshots on the Line 6 POD Go is just another way in which the Line 6 POD Go can greatly enhance your performance life.
Floor units like the Line 6 POD Go excel in the recording environment. With the Line 6 POD Go you can track guitar parts direct into a DAW session in pristine 24-bit/96kHz stereo quality. Or, for greater expandability with, you track your parts dry and take advantage of the Line 6 POD Go's re-amping capabilities for endless tonal variation down the road.

Picked up my Pod Go from my local music store a couple weeks ago. I replaced my Floor Pod Plus from 2010 that I used for gigs and recording. I run the Pod Go into the power amp section of my 1994 Fender "Evil Twin" when I want external speakers. I use it as an interface to record into Studio One. Killer amp models on board and I've imported a ton of free presets and IR's from the Line 6 website and various KZbin demo videos for inspiration. I don't miss the things it doesn't do due to DSP limitations; parallel signal paths, more than four effects per preset. I also don't need a Variax input or XLR outs (I can run into a direct box or use a 1/4inch to XLR cable). The amp and cabinets do not take up any of the four user slots, and there is a global noise gate on the input signal so you don't need to take up one of the four spaces with a gate. Overall, if you're looking for something to be able to grab and go for recording and gigging with killer tones and great user interface, this unit kills it. MK

Hi friend 1.are you able To add existing stereo pedals to it in any position in signal block chain ? 2. Does recording stereo via its in built USB interface useful and better than hooking it to audio interface ( I have single input Scarlett solo and was wondering if poD Go audio interface would do stereo recording ) 3. How would you recommend it for ambient music ? Are reverbs delays comparable ?
@mksounds6326
@mksounds6326 3 жыл бұрын
@@pratyulmusic Hello! 1. There are no stereo signal paths available in the Pod Go. You are able to move the effects to any spot in the signal chain, but there are no parrellel paths available. 2. I have used the Pod Go as an interface but much prefer my Presonus Studio 26. The Pod Go has left(mono)/right main outs which I presume could be sent to two interface inputs, but as an interface it connects via USB so I don't believe stereo recording that way would be possible. 3. I've haven't got into the weeds as far as presets go, but all the effects are Helix so the reverbs and delays are killer. Again, you are limited to a single signal path, so you can't do different delays/reverbs in parallel, but the available effects are fantastic. I'm using my Pod Go on the recent recordings on my channel (no amp) so you could check out a couple songs there (MK Sounds). The older songs were with my Floor Pod Plus and the Pod Go is lightyears ahead of that thing as far as tone. If anything else comes up gear-wise hit me up at sleepyhollowmusic2017@gmail.com Hope this helps and all the best from the Bay Area. MK

That is the clearest explanation of any Multi-FX pedal I've come across, many thanks. This looks like it's just what I am searching for. I'm a Digitech RP360 and RP500 user, but want something a bit more modern and more flexible and this looks the part. I did try a Mooer GE200 but it didn't suit and I was looking at the HX Stomp, but I think this better suits my needs. Digitech should have done something like this, but they've missed the boat now.

This is a little long but if you're on the fence about modeling this could be a worthwhile read. I bought one of these for late night practicing through headphones and the occasional fly gig/jam. It sounds so good to me that it has become my main rig, but there’s an important catch- I bypass the cab sims and put it straight into the fx loop return of my Bad Cat Cub 15R because, let’s face it, FRFR systems cannot recreate the “amp in a room” sound. Although I’m not about to part with my Eventide H9, the effects on board are good to excellent. I’m still pretty floored by how uniformly great this setup sounds. Just so you don’t think I’m some easily impressed noob, I’ve been playing since the early 80’s and own or have owned great amps by the likes of Mesa (at least 6), Carr, Friedman, Budda, Fender CS, Orange, Rivera, Revv, and so-on. I’ve had my favorites from these brands and I can really say that the Pod Go into my Bad Cat’s fx loop return puts as big a smile on my face as any of the above amps. Maybe I just got lucky and the Bad Cat just happens to “like” the Pod Go and it’s a great combination just by chance? Eventually I’ll pull out other amps to find out. I also think it’s important to mention that in my experience it doesn’t sound good into the front of an amp which makes sense given that you’re putting a modeled preamp into a real preamp in this scenario. Modeling has really come of age IMHO. If you’re tired of lugging a big rig around and you’re intrigued by modeling but don’t like the FRFR experience you should consider this kind of setup. You may be very surprised. Oh yeah, the day after I bought this I got an email from Fractal as I'd been on their waiting list for the past 6 months for a FM3. With all the confidence that I was making the right choice and zero regret to date, I told them I was going to pass. YMMV

This would immediately go on my wishlist, if it had been designed with a battery compartment. Is it me, or has Line 6 only marketed one battery-powered modeling unit, the Pocket Pod? Why is that? I haven’t been in Ft. Wayne since October 2007, and I only snagged a glimpse of the Sweetwater headquarters from the outside. I hope I will be there again soon and make myself free to come inside. It would be great to meet and shake hands with Mitch Gallagher.

But what I want to see most is how quickly you can change from one preset to another when playing in a cover band that plays a wide variety of tunes from the 60s to the 20s, rock, country, soul, disco, bro country, each song beginning within 10 to 15 seconds of the previous one.

Hello, Edmund! While you would be able to use bass with this, I'd probably look in a different direction. Any of the amp/cab sims or overdrive/distortion effects in there are going to be geared more towards guitar. So they'll sound thin and sorta just wrong on bass. @sweetwater
@sweetwater 4 жыл бұрын
Hey, Erick! Thanks for your question, happy to help. While the PODGo and the HXStomp derive from the same basic DNA, the biggest differences are with how the feature sets are accessed and the inputs/outputs. Four blocks (wah/volume/amp/eq) are part of every preset in the Pod. You can add up to four other effects (delay and reverb stereo) and the fx loop. Six effects available on the HX of your choosing, all can be mono or stereo and you have a parallel path option. Mono in Stereo out on the POD, Stereo in and out on the HX. Not as fast a processor in the POD. If using the same blocks and routing, presets can transfer from Helix to HX to POD and back. Please contact me direct for other questions. Here's an question issue I have with all these multi-effects pedals. From what I can tell, they are all missing the "global" functionality. That is, I want to create one amp and then be able to switch between different FXs. That would be perfect for me. Sure, you can duplicate a patch and add different FX, but that's not handy in a live situation. What happens when you get to the gig and you need to EQ/tweak the amp? You have to run through all your patches tweaking the amp setting for each? Oops. Now the volume of the patches seems different. What did I do? Ahhhh. That's just not practical for me. Along similar lines, does setting the tap tempo do it globally? Sometimes you want to shift patches during a song, but in my experience, most units like this will forget the tapped tempo when a patch is changed. If I'm wrong about this, please let me know! I use a Boss Katana and these are some of the frustrations I've experienced. Love the tones, but not being a player who has a "patch for every song," it can be frustrating.

Hi, Swg G. Yes, the POD Go is designed to be used for amp modeling, effects, or both. If you want to use it for just effects, you can absolutely do that. That being said, there are some effects that are likely going to sound better in the effects loop of that amp, so you'll probably want to do the 4-cable method so you can run certain effects in front of the amp, and other effects in the loop. 3rd-party IR support A guitar cab and its speakers account for roughly 33% of a total guitar sound (guitar & pedals + amp + cab = sound). Thankfully, the POD Go gives you room grow. Support for third-party guitar cabinet impulse responses (IRs) means you can drop in all your favorite closed- and open-backs with whatever speaker combinations you can imagine. And with the leaps and bounds today's IR manufacturers are making in cab tones, this one feature more or less ensures the Line 6 POD Go a permanent place in your rig. (copied from Sweetwater website)

It would help me to have aux in for certain gigs to run my in ears thru the board instead for better clarity. But it annoys me a simple question is not answered.

NO, this video doesn't make it apparant but this is a LESS tweakable and misses some effects because it doesn't have enough processing power. I'd recommend watching other videos or checking line6's website. it's a simplified helix, for example you can use only 1ir block while on the helix you can blend how much you want.

@sweetwater 3 жыл бұрын
Hi, R U I T A R. There isn't a specific set list mode on the POD Go, but it is still very easy to program for your set lists. Since the POD has hundreds of available presets, you can save all the sounds you need for your songs. And then either through the physical unit or using the POD Go Edit app, you can easily arrange those presets into the order you need. Thanks for your interest! @sweetwater
@sweetwater Жыл бұрын
Great question and thanks for your interest! Yes, but what else you need depends on the cabinet. If the cabinet is powered and has a line input, you can go straight in from the POD Go without any additional equipment. If it’s a more traditional guitar cabinet that requires a powered signal, you would either need to run an external power amp in between the POD and the cab, or you could run the POD output in to the return of the FX loop on an amp head to use just it’s power amp section to power the cabinet. There are external power amps formatted to fit on a pedalboard for exactly this kind of situation, like the Seymour Duncan PowerStage amps. I hope this helps! Yes, these are the same amp models that are in the big brother Helix. Don't let the POD name fool you. I wish they had stayed away from the POD name because people associate the POD with low quality multi-effects from a long time ago. I think the reason they went with the POD name is because PODS are also known for being simple to use and more of a plug and play style product. Less flexibility, but easier to use.

Can I copy a preset from my helix and load it as a preset to the new Line 6 pedal?
@sweetwater
@sweetwater 4 жыл бұрын
Hi, Alan! That's a great question. According to Line 6, you'd be able to copy individual "blocks" (a single amp, effect, etc.) via the POD Go's software editor. However, you won't be able to copy & paste presets from a Helix or HX product onto the POD Go. Certain elements of the POD's routing are locked into place, for a more traditional signal chain that will feel familiar to people who are new to modeling. However, they use the same sound engine, so you can expect the same great Helix sounds you've come to know. Give me a call at the number below if you have any questions. Thanks for your interest! Hello, J-Project. Thanks for your inquiry. Hope you're safe and well. The POD Go doesn't have a mixer like its Helix and HX siblings, so there's no way to pan a signal to one side or the other. Depending on how you set up the signal path and global routing, you could take a pre time domain (modulation/delay/reverb) out from the FX Loop and feed that to an amp while also sending an out from the mains. Not quite how it was designed to be used, but it's possible. Please contact me direct if I'm not understanding your question completely. Pod HD500x has slightly more slightly more variable routing, slightly more I/O, more footswitches, and better midi out control. Pod Go has better sounding models, IR support, snapshots, and a smaller footprint. This review was good showing functionality. But most of the sounds he demos are woefully lame. I've been using boutique guitar pedals for decades. I bought my first multi-effects pedalboard around 1983 - and I've stayed away from them because, for a long time, the effects tended to sound tinny and cold / lacked warmth. But being a dinosaur, and with modeling and digital units having come so far, I thought I'd look around and see the latest possibilities - without breaking the bank. What it really comes down to, for me, is what do the effects sound like? Are they high-quality or mostly gimmicky? I love effects, but I don't like fooling with cables between, etc. - so the digital chain, adjustments and pre-sets are attractive. After having used so many effects, I find I really don't need much more than a good delay, reverb, some modulation effects, fuzz, overdrive - gimmicky effects don't hold much appeal, as they aren't typically versatile.
