You can do it, just turn speed down to 25 and sketch the house and go back at normal speed to paint it.

davys grey is a lighter greener grey. paynes is a darker blue grey.

yes. Its the only way I can control the paint. a really wet mixture on dry paper.

Thank you. No technology involved with my stuff. I envision a composition then try to transfer it to paper with my pencil. I do the colours on the fly...no reference. Hit and miss.

Sorry I don't know about Ink-Black 45. I use DeAtramentis Archive Ink with both my Lamy Safari pens and have not had any trouble with clogging. Of course I use them almost every day.

I do not want to bother you with a lot of questions.....but I am a beginner and need a little guidance. Do you stretch your paper before you paint? If you do, how do you do that?

I don't stretch paper from pads or smaller pieces. I do stretch larger sheets. I learned the proper way to do it from KZbin (How to stretch watercolor paper). There are a number of artists that have videos on how to do it. I think I got my info from Oliver Pyle. Hope that helps.

Hello, What a wonderfull drawing! I'd like to do the same...perhaps soon... ;) Iam doing some watercolor to. I would love to paint over the black line like you make at the begining...but when I use my black pen the water spread it all the time (the thin line don't stay).... (sorry for my english, I am french ;) ). Do you use China ink? Or any other technic? Thank you.

Thank you. I use a document ink which is waterproof. I also use india ink which also is waterproof. That should help.
