Line Embossing with the ScanNCut Embossing Kit

I figured out the mat :) duh...but another question can you only emboss what is on the scanncut canvas images? or can you use draw with emboss tool?

Does anyone know what thickness the metal sheets are in mm and is it possible to use thicker, if so how thick of metal sheets ca you go? Can you also buy larger sticky plastic sheets to coat the metal sheets?

Hi there thanks for bringing out the embossing kit for the scan n cut - I was wondering I've been trying to work out how to do embossed dots on a sheet of card with no success. Please can you advice a way on how to do this or if there is an svg file I am able to use to produce that effect. many thanks xx

Julie, is this embossing feature going to work with paper? I so badly want to ditch my manual die cutting machine simply to emboss (actually it irritated me that I had to purchase one) as with the ScanNCut I do not have to purchase any coordinating dies. Embossing is really the only feature left (besides the ScanNCut canvas getting better at being able to do stitched, cross-stitched, and dotted borders as are available on many wafer thin metal dies...because the metal ones are NEVER the right size for me...but I love the versatility and ability of getting the exact size for the card I'm making) to allow me to do this. I enjoyed another of your videos but it was on the tour of the ScanNCut Canvas. But what was fantastic to know was that you can use your Wacom Cintiq with the Canvas, however, you didn't go into how to hook up the Wacom drawing tablet so that the program sees it. Please do a video specifically on this subject as I use my Wacom Cintiq a great deal and this would make creating so much easier. Thanks!

how do you apply the embossing mat onto the standard mat? I see where you pull apart and place sticky side down but do I peel off the green paper with the tab? if that is how it seems that the green paper is really stuck. thank you Julie

is the emboss feature compatable with the first generation cm600 or is just for the newer scanncut2 model? when will the emboss kit be available in the uk?

Julie says it's for scan n cut 1 or 2 so I presume it'll work on our 600 model

Hi Julie HELP! I have bought the embossing kit but I don't have the Premium Functions page. I have 1 to 7 but no 8 !! My machine is the CM900

You need to update your machine, then it will have the premium functions. That’s what happened to my CM900.

Please make an update so that we don’t need a kit to emboss. Cricut has done it. I would love to be able to emboss score lines as I dislike the dash lines.

What a waste of money! You can do line embossing with any machine, and have been able to do so for years, on any machine!
