Linear 2 - Drum Groove

This Linear Drumming groove is based on the pattern: KRLK RLRK RKRK LRLK.
Linear drumming refers to any drum groove in which no two limbs hit together at the same time.
I designed the Groove series to offer a complementary approach to traditional musical notation. It presents several advantages for understanding the structure of repetitive rhythms. The geometric shape of the rhythm is immediately visible, making it easy to recognize its properties.
My goal with this series was to create a learning tool where musicians can spend more time practicing the rhythm and less time figuring out what to play.
To produce this video series, I used After Effects for all the animations and Ableton Live to record, sequence, and process the drum sounds.

I don't understand what sound the snare drum is, doesn't seem to line up with the snare from the audio.

You should focus on what each limb is playing. the left hand play mostly the snare drum (only the fourth stroke is on the hihat) and the right hand play mostly the hihat (only the second stroke is on the snare).
