Sir GL(2,R) me aapne + ke according identity hatai hai (for proving abelian wrto matrix multiplication )...magar isme to pahle se hi restrictions the ki ad-bc not equal to zero ,then isme 0 matrix hatane ki jaroorat nhi thi ....at 11:36 .please reply sir ....🙏🙏

Sir field ka aapne jo 2nd example diya h usme 2nd operation ke w.r.t. commutative toh nhi ho rha(a^logb#b^loba).thank you

In property (alpha + beta) # u = ( alpha # u ) + ( beta # u ) it should be like this.. Right? Instead of ( * ) there will be ( + ) If it's not, then please explain...

Sir (G,+) ki identity element zero matrix Hain. Toh how can that identity matrix belong to G since G has a special condition for non zero determinant and if zero matrix belongs to G then that condition fails. Thus (G,+) is not a Monoid. Can u please clarify?

Yes you are absolutely right. General linear group forms a group under "ordinary matrix multiplication"and not ordinary matrix addition. Hence, (G,+) will not form a group and thus (G, +, .) will not form a field. There is no need to check whether (G*, .) forms an abelian group.
