Set in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside, just outside of Witney, Linear Fisheries offers a number of day ticket and members only waters, offering prolific fishing for some very big fish. And with specimen catfish, tench, roach, bream, rudd, pike and perch all abundant at the complex - Linear offers quality fishing for everyone.
This DVD covers everything you need to know about the complex, from rules to useful tips on bait and rigs, so it’s a must see for anyone thinking of travelling to the fishery. As you would expect from a Linear DVD, there are plenty of fish caught for the camera as well, we even have footage of two upper forty pound commons and one of the big cats from St. Johns - And with loads more action caught on film, this DVD won’t disappoint!
The main Hardwick site is separated only by the B4449 road, where there are five day ticket lakes, ranging in size from approximately 14 acres to over 30 acres. This end of the complex includes famous waters like St. Johns Pool, Manor Farm Lake, Hardwick Lake & Smiths Pool, along with the complex’s two largest lakes Brasenose-One and Brasenose-Two. This is also where you will find Linear’s brand new Tackle Shop, which will open mid-2019.
Further down the road is the Oxlease/Hunts Corner site, where there are three day ticket waters. The smallest is Hunts Corner Pond which is ideal for beginners to fishing, juniors or anyone just after a bit of fun on a float rod. Adjacent to this water is the nine acre Hunts Corner Lake which offers exclusive fishing from limited pegs and holds numerous 30lb plus fish to just over 40lb. Next to this and the first water you come at this site is Oxlease Lake, at approximately 26 acres this water holds a large number of thirties and forties topped by the largest common at linear which at best weighs over 50lb! A fish that can be seen on this DVD.
Neighbouring Oxlease and Hunts are the Guy Lakes, home to the ‘Linear Syndicate Waters’ which offer some wonderful private fishing. The Guy Lakes Syndicate is made up of three wonderful waters - Yeomans, Unity and Gaunts, waters that in recent years have produced multiple 30lb & 40lb fish, topped by an impressive 53lb mirror!

Gotta laugh when they are talking about moving around the lake if you see fish. Or on Hardwick, start on road bank for the morning and then move over other side of lake or on spits ! LOL All their lakes are rammed solid !

Lucky enough to live and work few miles from linear, I’m a member on other waters near to it which is my safety when I pop in and the place is packed,,,, lovely place and well kept

Ian for prime minister 🙌🏻 best bailiff in the country. Also b2 has huge roach I had a session using a big block end feeder and maggots and landed 4 all over 2lb with the biggest being 3lb 2oz fish of a lifetime and I think 4years later it’s still the lake record 🤷🏻‍♂️. So many other species to go for other than carp.

Sorry great video but I’ve never been to the linear complex and had opportunity to start in a certain peg then move on to another going peg later the day , it just doesn’t happen, well certainly not when I’m over there , It’s still one of the best day ticket complexes in the county but with all the different bait and tackle companies that have filmed over there the place just seems busier than ever .

Only problem with Linear is that if your not local to Oxfordshire there’s a fair chance you ain’t getting on coz it’s allways sooooooo packed, and there seems to be an abundance of noddys present at all times, other than that GREAT FISHERY.

Used to fish st johns in the late 90s when the big plated mirror was 27lb and you at to walk miles to get to the point swim

Quick question, I want to spend time on St. John’s, my only issue is that it is a 4 hour drive for me and I really don’t want to turn up and find St. John’s full and not be able to fish it.. also do you allow long stays ? I was hoping to do 3 nights. Thank you

I can't help but comment on weighing fish.... Why do people keep holding their scales by the side when it can give a false weight... Use a T bar or something and suspend the scales as they meant to be used.... I just saying as it winds me up 😉

What they don’t tell you is this place is the most pressured in the country. Mass queues for swims.The worst toilet facilities ever with the cubicles looking like some fucker has done somersaults whilst mass leaking from both ends. Underpants left as used for cleaning etc. It’s fucking disgusting. Yes there are some good fish to be angled for. But actually I feel sorry for the fish here. Do them a favour and give this place a massive wide berth. I speak as an angler who fished there 10 years ago,I’m not bitter as caught some but vowed never to return and I did not.

Great place just a shame u get a lot of muppets ther to spod spod spod recks it for everybody used to fish it when the gravel works was between manor and St. John's . Lucky enough to ov had cut tale at 40.4 lovley fish wasn't many in the country that size back then
