I'm not saying it's not a MAGLEV but the guidance glass just doesn't make it a full MAGLEV with zero friction

That would be great for replacing fail old personal rapid transit stuff, then editing magnetic gravity floating tracks, make airport trains to important places.

Jozef D If I’m understanding how this thing works correctly, the circular magnets that pull the train forward must be electromagnets because they can be turned on and off. The rail magnets could be either.

Is similar to Korea's VHST-600X which Korea patented together with hyperloop vacuum train in 2008. Japan isn't technologically advanced.maglev needs superconductor which is very expensive thus only economically feasible for short range airport train .

OWI robotics company that makes one that its better than this. The train is bigger and better looking, it's not closed in on the sides like this one it is also propelled magnetically same as this one. Price is $41 on Amazon. That's about a tenth of the price of this Japanese toy.
