You sir have just saved my assignment, thanks a lot!

why can't I have more than 3 parameters? Is that some kind of memory issue?

@LinearTechnology i want to change the value of capacitance with time and check the output. How is it possible?
@LinearTechnology6 жыл бұрын
Here is the LTspice page on analog.com www.analog.com/en/design-center/design-tools-and-calculators/ltspice-simulator.html You should be able to use the nonlinear capacitor that allows you to write an expression for the charge instead of the capacitance; Q=. You can use the keyword "time" for the current time in the simulation. More information can be found in the help file (F1) under Circuit Elements -> Capacitor and for more information on expressions you can review Arbitrary Behavioral Voltage or Current Sources.

Can someone pls help me : I have a circuit to show the charging and discharging of a capacitor in circuit with two switches and one resistor. I would like to know how to set up two switches in LT spice where one opens after 50s of transient the other closes at that same moment in which the first is closed. pspice has a open time switch and a close time switch how can create these two switches using the voltage or current controlled switch ??

Use a voltage source and choose PWL mode, then choose all the voltage values and time stamps as required

Guilherme Gomes I actually found this out after couple days of research but thank you still for reaching out..

yeah, I thought so, maybe it's still useful for other people

My question is about multi-parameter stepping. While there are 3 values of each resistance and capacitance, why the number of the curves displayed was 6, not 9?
@LinearTechnology6 жыл бұрын
Depending on the steps combination, two or more traces can be the same and only one color is shown on the waveform viewer. If you zoom in you will see both traces. Likewise, you can run through the iteration on the waveform viewer, as explained in the video, and see the individual combinations.

hey, first thanks for the video. is there an easy way to preform the same simulation while receiving 3 curves -> means 1st curve (R=0.5k, c=0.1u ) , 2st curve (R=1k, c=0.2u ), 3st curve (R=1.5k, c=0.3u ) . thanks, Or

The easiest way to select the steps you want to view in the waveform viewer is to right click, select view and then select the steps you want displayed.

@@LinearTechnology Hi can we change two parameters with single step command.
@Algo_de_Alguem3 жыл бұрын
I probably wont use this but nice video. I am looking for a way to calculate the stored energy using the parameters of the component instead of the constants.

For more information please visit ez.analog.com The .step command only allows one variable. To be swept. You would have to use multiple .step statements to do more than one variable. To get the config window just add a spice command line to your schematic with the word “.step” and then right on it to edit.

Thank you so much, I was not able to understand how to check the relation between graph and step parameter values --> Right click on the cursor :D

Can you do a log step like in ORCAD?
@FesZElectronics5 жыл бұрын
yes, your step statement should be like: ".step oct param xxx n1 n2 pct" xxx- is the parameter you are stepping, n1 and n2 are the first and last value and pct is the number of points per octave(hence the oct in the directive) you can do decade sweep by replacing oct with dec

It looks like you won't answer any questions. I'll ask anyways. Is there a manual explaining the ins and outs of each feature of LTSpice? The built-in help is very elementary and does not address any advanced subjects.

We don't really have an all in one manual but there is a getting started guide and a bunch of videos / examples/ tutorials here www.linear.com/solutions/ltspice
