This Lined Elysia (Elysia pratensis) is multitasking, eating and laying eggs at the same time!
Elysias are sap-sucking slugs that keep the photosynthetic material in plants alive within their bodies. Then they can live off the sugars that are still being produced. This form of feeding is called kleptoplasty.
They are also simultaneous hermaphrodites, meaning that every one of them is capable of laying eggs!
