Not gonna lie, working backwards on your videos but I am working on the same things and you are keeping me motivated, again thanks for the ideas! I have a few closets that I am working on painting. I went with light grey, my house is black and grey but the baseboards are white along with the molding, etc. I think the closets are best to remain light in color or at least a shade of grey, makes it easier to find things, clean, etc. I can see the shelving being black but the walls/interior would be like reaching into a cave or black hole to find things but whatever makes you happy also is what you should do!

I think the walls of your closet would look cool the same color as your guest bathroom with the shelves painted black. I have a whole house to declutter. I’ve lived in this house almost 2 years and we inherited all of my husband’s grandparents stuff so we’ve been getting rid of a lot of things through offer up and Mercari. Also Salvation Army donations. My Mom passed almost 12 years ago and I still have a few boxes of her things to go through too. Plus we have our own stuff to declutter. I painted my closet black a few years ago and it was a mistake. Looked super cool but it was hard to see. I ended up using glow in the dark paint pens to write on my storage containers. From then on......all closets stay simple and white. Love the decluttering!!!!
