Lineside Fires Cause Chaos at the Severn Valley Railway Step Back to the 1940s weekend - 29/06/24

The Severn Valley Railway were hosting their annual step back to the 1940s event where they show us what life was like on the Railway in World War II with a number of display and attractions at each station along the Railway.
Today I filmed the opening day of the Event and it was absolutely busy which is really good for the Railway. The event had plenty of things to see and do including classic cars and 1940s acts. I visited Kidderminster, Bridgnorth, Highley and Arley.
The event was going smoothly until a number of Lineside fires Between Bridgnorth and Hampton Loade and Arley and Bewdley causing delays up to 50 minutes which caused Chaos and left everyone stranded along the Line.
I didn’t let this spoil my visit or video but the only problem is I struggled to get a shot of visiting Locomotive 2999 Lady of Legend.

@@James_Trains what's the point in that title then? Watching the trains operating in this video without that title one wouldn't even notice any delays or problems, vid came across as a lovely pleasant day out watching heritage trains run by 🤷🏻‍♂️

I was at Bewdley behind 4930 Hagley Hall when we came to a stop in front of the fire on the return to Bridgnorth

They also remembered need replaced by Heritage Diesel services because due to high risk of lineside fires from steam locomotive being suspended until short notice, sometimes do on severn valley railway are big massive blaze sometimes 🔥🔥🚂

@@williamtacey7770 the Severn Valley Railway won’t run Diesels only unless the Council advises then to or there’s a steam ban.
