This is so beautiful ❤️ There's so few edits of them I'm happy you made one. I just finished the drama and came to watch your edit. The first Chinese drama I finished in months. And like you I'm totally happy with the ending. The author and Ziqi has completely different personality so I guess it made sense why they didn't show him. The interaction between the couple would have been very different.

Yes! There could be a whole new drama just about them trying to navigate their new relationship in modern times (which I wouldn’t hate but probably won’t happen 🥲)! I’m actually surprised at how few edits there are for these two considering how popular the drama is, but I guess it’s way more popular in China than overseas😕

It’s not a sad ending!! It’s definitely a happy ending, I recommend watching the end yourself because it’s hard to describe the happy ending without watching it

so i like the ending with the words, but i'm 90% dissatisfied with the ending, NOT EVEN SEEING THEM IN THE SAME FRAME at the end of the drama...i mean...was it that hard to pan out??? Though at least it was a happy ending and not an open or sad one, so i'll take it...begrudgingly though. but i AM in love with your song choice! and the end of her making it home to him (presumably >.> haha)

I can get why people were dissatisfied with the ending, I definitely think they could’ve showed him at the end,,, they literally had him there so I don’t know why they didn’t show him :/ I have gotten so desensitized to this type of ending 0_0

@ right? I mean was there some unknown reason they didn’t do it? Cause there was no explanation or reason as to why they couldn’t -story wise I mean. So it just didn’t make sense. And since there was no reason why Ziqi couldn’t be shown it feels like, vindictive of the director to give you ALMOST a full HE but not all the way. Or just for the sake of not doing it. It’s just extra frustrating cause this type of lackluster ending is so common and 2024 has been a crap year for HE 😭 (I’m 100% stealing this song for future use btw 🤣)

Yeah I can’t really understand why they decided not to show him, especially since it’s obvious by Ding Yuxi’s goodbye post that it’s a happy ending-_- 2024 has been dissatisfying ending central in cdrama land XD This song!!! I felt female lead was not the top focus in this drama...The ending plot was so awesome but the ending was incomplete, a lot of loop holes nopee...it was indeed a happy ending but they should show the male lead face not his voice only ...also not characters were shown atleast 2nd couple should be shown ...only cuicui with his granddad? Well they should giveee a special episode for ending .4/10... I was looking forward that it will be like love between fairy and devil meajs a veryyy good one but failed badly 👎👎
