Hi girl, is there any particular reason you picked the chevron over the classic quilted? I own the large quilted one and I’ve only used it once in the past four years.. I know I want to trade it for the small size with a second-hand dealer. One dealer that has agreed to it only has the chevron. Do you find the chevron more durable?

Hi Demi! So sorry for the late response! I honestly was open to both quilted and chevron, but when I saw this one in store, I just thought it was so pretty so I just went for it. In the past, while looking at consignment quilted backpacks, I noticed that many of the quilted backpacks would sag and bunch up on the bottom of the bag, but chevron ones seemed to keep their shape a bit better! I feel like the chevron in general is a bit more forgiving due to the structure of it and the calfskin in particular is a bit more durable than lambskin. You might want to think about it! I definitely have zero regrets with the chevron :) Best of luck!

i've been eyeing this bag for forever!! Great idea with the lobster clasps btw. How do you feel this bag does in different seasons? I live in NYC where it rains quite regularly so i'm worried about buying it and feeling hesitant to use it. have you spilled anything on it, does it wipe off easily? How about retrieving items in a hurry, is it annoying to access your belongings at all? I have a one year old so i bough the LV palm spring mini but i can't stop thinking about the chanel urban spirit, i'm just concerned about it's practicality for my lifestyle. i'm always in workout clothes, lol. love love love this bag!!

Thank you!! If you get this bag, make sure you try that lobster clasp hack ;) I use this bag throughout all the seasons. I live in Vancouver, and we get a lot of rain here. I try not to take it out when it's pouring, but I have been caught in a rainfall.. and the bag really held up! No stains or anything! But just like any soft leather, it is more on the delicate side, so I imagine that if it were dunked in a tub of water, you'd definitely see some water damage as the leather would just soak it in. I've been lucky and haven't spilled anything on it **yet** lol, but if I ever do, I'll let you know if it was easy to wipe off. I don't find it annoying to open and close the clasp. I have a burberry rucksack and find that the drawstring on that is way more annoying than this bag. Since I don't tighten the drawstring to begin with, it's really just a matter of twisting and untwisting the turn lock. It's good because the flap is stiff and it falls straight onto the turn lock and doesn't flop around. (does that make sense?) The LV Palm Springs mini is sooo cute! from some other videos I've seen, they both seem to hold a similar amount. The canvas is a lot more forgiving than the chanel backpack, so I would imagine you could be a lot more "rough" with it. I've seen some mommies use the urban spirit as their diaper bag before, so I think it should be okay for you and your little one :) My final thoughts: if you love it and can't stop thinking about it... get it! It's such a cute bag and literally goes with everything! See if it fits your lifestyle, and if you find that it doesn't, you can always sell it since they tend to hold their value (more or less). Laney Laney I would think so :) it’s definitely a beautiful bag and eye catching, so going to the office with this would definitely be fine! I know a few people who use this bag as their daily bag

Hi hun, great video!!! I have the same exact bag. I absolutely love your idea about the lobster clips. Where did you get those? Also, quick question have you had any issues with wear on the chain? Mine is showing some wear. Part of the chain (closet to the grommets have a bit of copper it looks like peeking under from the silver) I’m wondering if it’s from when I pull the straps and the chain rubs on the grommets.
