I think its mostly a problem with perception and how it looks. In this ship where every single finger moving is being analysed and even where their eyes are moving, this kind of thing from Orm throws some people off. They are marketed as sweet and loving and special…so I think when Orm does these things, people feel there is nothing special with how she treats Ling. One is introverted and the other not. The introverted one has close friends but is very careful. I understand why people feel it is confusing when Orm does things like this because as an introvert myself I do not accept behaviour like this from my partner no matter what their personality is. But like Jam says ship responsibly and enjoy the ups and downs and sideways turns Lingorm take us on. Support them both in their work and don’t take things personally

In some ways I agree and others I disagree. You cannot want your brand to be global and then say “but you better learn about my culture to understand how I am behaving”. globally you have to behave in a way that is understood by all. Another issue here is that I find there is more drama and scrutiny with Ling and Orm than other ships maybe. Already they saw what happened when people got close to Ling (one was the hair touching and the other the calendar) and she didn’t even do anything wrong. So now people are afraid to go near her and she also does not touch anyone. It’s not only them who get affected. Anyone they touch or hug gets in trouble, so you have to think about that also. It isn’t right obviously but this is what they wanted with fame and a natural by-product. The only ones who seem safe to approach Ling are Alek and Fluke because it is more of a bro vibe

The stories are Thai, written by Thai’s, produce, directed, and starring Thai’s everything about this genre is Thai. And in some way, if that has not influenced you to learn more about the culture, so you can understand better, before we get to this point? I have to question why you watch this genre to begin with. In fact is already teaching others that just fail to recognize it.

Actually I am Asian myself, just not Thai. The issue at play in this particular situation which is causing drama, and which people have a problem with, is perception. Did Orm do something that was perhaps perceived badly by some? Yes. Many fans of theirs are not the hardcore ones who go analyse that ok she is hugging this one differently and hugs Ling differently. Many will just see her hugging someone the same way as she hugs her “partner” and they have a negative reaction. You can’t then go say well it’s a Thai thing. It’s really not. It’s a behavioural thing. The same thing applies to the guy who touched Ling’s hair. The poor girl didn’t even do anything but it became a huge thing. Why? Because perception of behaviour. I support them both, but they also need to learn as they grow. The girl she hugged will also get into trouble indirectly because this is the way things are with LingOrm and their fans. I don’t mind learning new things at all but stars are also required to learn what works and what doesn’t. It is a two-way street otherwise it does not work
