The same for Melilla. It’s irrational, discriminatory and inconsistent to exclude countries with not all of their territory in Africa - by that logic Egypt is not an African country as it is partly in Asia. Even if you say that it is based on the majority of the country, that means saying that Russia is only an Asian and not a European country. Fixating on U.N. recognition in order to exclude Western Sahara means not classifying any of France’s territories as colonies, as that is the U.N. position on them. I wasn’t ignorant of the reasoning and didn’t need it ‘explaining’ to me. It’s just stupid.
