Native speaker here… for those trying to remember certain names of objects/ furniture… don’t stress over it. I didn’t even know that serving tray/ turntable was called Lazy Susan. Just be able to describe the item you are looking for. I do the same in Spanish & I’ve been just fine. The most important thing is being able to communicate

@@thehomeeconomistskitchen9307 No problem! I don't want anyone to stress over this. I, myself, have to also research sometimes what an exact style of furniture or appliance is called. It's definitely helpful, but you can also bring in a picture of a similar product or try to describe with adjectives what style you want (: Happy Valentine's day!

@@莫卓见 Awhh shucks! I'm glad it helps. (: It's okay. It's really hard to remember all of the terminology. I think you're trying to call me "madam", but that is very very formal. This sounds like a greeting for a princess or a queen. It's okay to just say "m'am" or "miss" (: Thank you for being very polite though. Oh nice! I hope to visit China one day. I am from California/ The states/ the US.

Rottisserie is actually a french word. It originally describes a shop or restaurant where they cook the meat this way. By rotating the meat above a fire , with sometimes something to collect the juices in order to soak the meat with ,during the cooking. Cheers from France.

This kind of practical lessons i guess it’s better than class lessons it makes the words more close to our normal life I’ve visited the states before and one of the most annoying this is tax. I go shopping check the prices i put to myself a spend limit but… surprise i have to pay more because of the tax Why they don’t put the prices including the tax
