Great series! The origin of rain check comes from baseball. Games are canceled when it rains. Since spectators already paid to come into the stadium to watch the game, they were given a `’rain check” on their way out of the ball park to allow them to gain admittance free of charge when they return for the rescheduled game.

@@optimistic2 lmao means "laugh my ass off". It's just internet slang for finding something funny. I laughed because "grooming" has a negative connotation in English. It can mean taking care of your hygiene but can also mean a pedophile preparing a child for a sexual encounter like meeting up or convincing them to go through with it. You would say you watch her to learn English or for an English lesson. Not for English grooming.

I'm American so English is my native language but I still find your videos fascinating and I love seeing how other people learn our language. I have an idea for a video that might help your viewers. Many Americans (including myself) use a lot of movie quotes when speaking. If you're not familiar with the movie or the context of the quote, it might not make any sense and the American's tone and language might seem weird. Often Americans don't even have to have seen the movie to understand what the speaker is trying to convey because the movie quote has become a part of popular culture. There are many examples if you're interested.

your tone on "comma" - you said it like an uncontrollable sleep, which is a "coma"... coe-ma - but it should be more like cawwma :) Akin to say "ahhhh" at the doctor. Also, you like use the word "like", just like a California native, like. But, like, you can use a different word many times and it sounds more intelligent. "He was like, well - ok" -> "He agreed". lol You're amazing - love watching your videos ! Your fluency is off the charts.
