"What about all the other Rangers in the world?" Well as I understand it, when you make a wish with a Genie, said wish is technically granted word for word but it could come with extra effects, usually to the wisher's misfortune. Example: when one wishes for a fancy car, said car could appear full of snakes. One possible reason other Rangers didn't stop the bad guys here could be that the extra effects could have made them, as well as other villains, disappear too.

Except genies tend to use that logic to screw over the wish maker so by that logic Gengi would emphasize the MYSTIC FORCE part of power rangers and send an alert to all active teams

Let's just see how many other rangers would've stood against these villains in dark wish, and possible ways around them. The Lightspeed Rangers: there is no possible way around them not being there. Yeah, you could make the argument that they were separated or something, but they'd band together the moment these villains showed up. The Space Rangers: you could make the argument that they weren't on Earth, but they'd keep tabs on Earth considering how many damn teams there have been. Plus, Andros likely kept in contact with Wes, Eric, and Carter after Forever Red. Plus, if we assume the Lightspeed rangers lost, the Space Rangers would first get the Galaxy Rangers before heading to Earth. The Galaxy Rangers: okay, they're on Mirinoi (or however you spell it), but if the Space Rangers knew, they'd get the Galaxy Rangers. Otherwise, they probably have an excuse for not being there. The Time Force Rangers: Eric and Wes are in this time period, and they'd contact the other Time Rangers and they'd being a Megazord along with a team of Rangers. The Zeo Rangers: considering Tommy still had his Zeo powers in Forever Red, the other Zeo rangers would have there powers. Plus, since the Zeo sub crystals are perpetual energy generators and continually make the rangers stronger, by this point each individual ranger would be strong enough to overwhelm an entire team of other rangers. Even of the Zeo rangers were separated, their severely increased power compared to other teams would be far too much for the villains. It'd be the equivalent of fighting 5 teams of Rangers at minimum. Miscellaneous: Jason still had his Mighty Morphin powers in Forever Red, Zack and Trini likely had their powers, the Aquetian rangers never lost their powers, Justin had his Turbo powers brought back, Kimberly and Rocky could have their original morphers considering Adam had his Mastodon morpher and it partially functioned. Did I miss anyone?

About the zeo powers: i always used the excuse for why they don't just use the zeo powers is because it's like a combo from a beat em up game. When you continue fighting enemies, it builds up. But if you leave it alone, it'll go back to zero.

Koragg's counterpart in Magiranger was a much better character. He actually did come off as a nuanced villain because he had a real sense of camaraderie with the other villains, except Morticon who was a short tempered jerk, and he still didn't get along Imperius. His honor deal was also established earlier; we saw him refusing to kill the rangers multiple times while also being somebody who would provide help to the others on his side. Also, he could actually come up with competent plans, like when he had a battle with the Rangers zords and faked being dead to get the power to form his own Megazord. Late in the series we gather that it was the side of him that was still good forcing him to keep coming up with excuses to avoid killing the rangers because all five of them were his children there. Yeah, it's a little implausible, but it avoids the nonsense about the Red Ranger being the chosen one. Also, Mystic Force included a lot more hints about Korrag's real identity. It's like the writers felt like the viewers were dumb and wouldn't pick up on it if they only stuck with Magiranger's layout. Then again the show did spend a lot of time on the painfully obvious reveal of Udona being Nick's mother, so it gives me the idea that somebody writing felt the audience could not pick up on anything subtle.

I can understand why Linkara dosen't have a very positive opinion about Koragg's character, and I respect that. However, I do think that Linkara is way too hard with Koragg's trait of honor. Koragg never finishes the rangers in battle, because he believes that attacking a defenseless and disarmed opponent is dishonorable, but if he would fight a strong opponent to the death, without said opponent becoming defenseless, I have no doubt that Koragg would finish him off. The problem isn't with Koragg's behavior in my opinion, but with his superiors' behavior. If they see that Koragg won't destroy the rangers when they are defenseless, then they should just send a different member of the Forces of Darkness, one who dosen't have any sense of honor, to take care of the rangers from the beginning. Look, I like both Koragg AND Villamax, since they're both honorable warriors, but since Villamax eventually stood against Trakeena's evil schemes, since he saw them is dishonorable, you can say that, according to the way Linkara views Koragg, Villamax is also a failure as a minion of evil. It's only when the noble qualities of Koragg and Villamax clash with the evil traits of Trakeena and The Forces of Darkness, that both Koragg and Villamax seem like they're not effective as villains. This is just my opinion, but I'm still surprised that Linkara prefers Villamax over Koragg in that regard.

Probably cause despite having noble traits, Villamax wasn't an active hindrance to Trakeena's plan. And with how self-destructively ruthless this season's villains are, it's amazing they DIDN'T kill him after constantly sparing the Rangers.

I mean, Villamax only stood up to Treekena in the end because Treekena was willing to turn their own soldiers into suicide bombers and blow up civilians along with the Rangers. Koragg is a moron who cries about honor and arbitrarily decides to stop fighting the Rangers randomly cause they're "defenseless" even if they didn't begin the fight as such. Koragg was a dumb concept from the jump.

I've actually seen Magiranger and in that series, Wolzard (Koragg's sentai counterpart) didn't kill the rangers not out of honor, but because he was impressed with how fast they were growing in strength and wanted to see how strong they would get. So in other words, his reason wasn't about honor, it was about power. He only started acting out of "honor" as he started to regain his memories. I don't expect everyone to agree with me. I just wanted to point that out.

also the reason is that (SPOILER) the rangers are siblings and wolzard and the white ranger are their parents -this is why a lot of the events center round them is because its the family members as such its not that odd this is a father who vanished on all the rangers and a lot of the side stories and filler is about them coping with learning and doing things on their own as that is what has happened -ie they don't really have a Mentor they have to figure it out with what little info they have and magic they gain through their courage

She made him turn into a human after being a frog and some other stuff happened. But you never would see that in power rangers

thats something ive said a lot the problem power rangers has sometimes is that they are adapting a show for the us audience and because of that the footage their using is alway going to tie them in some way to the sentai plot -its done to save on costs so if your going to do that and avoid having loads of things that apear in the series that you have to explain one way or another its better if you stay closer to the sentai plot -personally i would have liked to see a group of rangers that were all family -adopted if you need the multi cultural aspect but being family is a lot stronger bond that friendship

Koragg is actually my favorite Villain in this season. Though I do agree with Linkara's rant about his so called "honor". Koragg's "honor" tends to go a bit too far, to the point where comes across as a bit of a coward. Though I do understand the big revelation about Koragg's honor near the end.

Xaviergray87 Actually, I think Linkara made a small mistake here. Koragg teams up with the Rangers because he knows for a fact the Barbarian Beasts can't be trusted. He says things ike this: 'Things around here have changed.' Or how about this one: 'Imperious is up to something. That I know.' Hell, this question was asked in the episode itself. Here's what Koragg himself has to say: Chip: "You and that mummy have been trying to turn us into vapor for months and now you don't like the new guys because they got rid of us?" Koragg: "Not because they did, but how they did it, and how they tried to get rid of me. But most of all, those two are planning to overthrow the Master." And there's more: Koragg doesn't just not get along with Imperious, he flat out distrusts him. He comes to look for the Barbarian Beasts in the Underworld - and he's right. He threatens Imperious, suggesting he has something to do with it, but I think he leaves so easily because he knows he can't take Imperious without his magical powers and with two remaining Barbarian Beasts backing Imperious. The next episode, when Koragg is accused of trachery, he turns it around on his head, saying: "Imperious has proven he's evil, but without honour, can he really be trusted?" He's not just saying that. He remembers Imperious is the guy who brought the Barbarian Beasts back and probably had something to do with the plo of the Barbarian Beasts. In the episode after that, is it coincidence that Koragg intervenes just as Imperious tries to destroy the Master? I think Koragg has a lot to go for him. I shouldn't forget to say: Merry Christmas :)

***** Yeah, but, that's kind of the problem that I've had with Koragg's character before it was revealed that he was actually a mind-controlled Leanbow later on. I mean, I understood that Imperious is a coniving manipulative snake, but that was a part of his character. He wants to overthrow Octomus the Master simply because he was easily seduced by the forces of darkness and wants to usurp his army and take command once he's dead. But with Koragg?! His method is just really frustrating and to be honest....it just really pisses me off thinking about the stupidity in his plan for defeating the Power Rangers in this show. I mean, these writers should've done better with this character, especially since they are unaware of how much of a bad-ass Koragg's respective Sentai counterpart, Wolzard from Magiranger is. I mean Wolzard is like a Sentai version of a Saiyan from the Dragonball franchise, to which he's allowing his enemies to grow stronger and refusing to kill a weaker opponent simply because he is obsessed with the thrill of a worthier challenge/opponent. That is a motif that I can understand. Wolzard doesn't care about honor, all he cares about is fighting an opponent that is either equally as strong as him, or if his enemies are exceeding him by growing stronger throughout their endeavors and experiences, while he tries to match their strength as well. And these writers could've taken that aspect of Wolzard's character and actually give Koragg more depth into his story. But, they didn't. I think Linkara probably pointed out the main problem that almost everyone has with Mystic Force, there were so many good ideas that could've made this show more likable to others who aren't feeling the whole "Magic-themed"/"Fantasy" theme for a Power Rangers season, but they were sadly wasted in the wrong directions at that time and didn't know what to do with these ideas since they were basically ignoring the true premise of a Power Rangers season that focuses more on the rangers working together as a team instead of just one specific Power Rangers and no one else. *sigh!* Sorry if my comment is a bit too lengthy and too long, but, that's how I see it and I don't think I ever will take Mystic Force seriously anymore since this show clearly doesn't know how to write better villains and doesn't have a clue about how should be the main focus characters and who shouldn't.

Xaviergray87 I have to admit... as much as I liked Koragg, he could've been andled better. The honour thing being usd as just an excuse for actual wilful ignoring of orders to destroy his enemies. Maybe they could've done ore with Leanbow/Koragg, kind of like Jarrod/Dai Shi (only Jarrod on his own is more interesting than Leanbow on his own, but still). Personally, I really like fantasy, but well... Fantasy is something you like or don't like. And I agree with Linkara that the Rangers should've been more the focus; how the world affects them rather than how they fit in it. That's fine :) I understand anyone not liking it, as good as I think it was.

SPD does not yet exist, Wild Force has their Zords and morphers on the Animarium, Time Force save Alex and Eric are 1000 years away, and most of the Zordon era rangers are either off planet or unable to morph( I assume the Alien Rangers would want to stay out of it.), Who does that leave? Lightspeed Rescue, Ninja Storm, Dino Thunder(maybe), Justin Lightning Crusier and Storm Blaster, Red Time Force and Quantum Ranger, and Adam

We get a brief cameo of Piggy and that's about it. I'd rather they not have anything at all than just Piggy. Dragons are still awesome. The magical train is weird. I'm starting to notice that this season has a lot of parter episodes. I kinda like the longer plots. The black, red, and white Tribunal reminds me of Animus, and not in a good way. Udonna being willing to give up her magic to help the Rangers was a touching move, especially as a mentor. And the consequences last for a while instead of being fixed right away.

Actually the reason why S.P.D and Mystic Force didn't have a team up was because Dagaron and Kruger were played by the same Actor at least that's what I think the reason is besides the budget and sentai footage

The real reason why SPD and Mystic Force never did get an actual crossover is because of Disney's constant slashing of the budget and reducing the series to at least 32 episodes. I've heard that during the SPD reunion panel at a convention last year that originally, SPD executive producer and co-writer, Greg Aronowitz had plans to do a reunion for the cast of SPD for a future team-up episode. But, when Aronowitz got the word out that SPD won't be doing a team-up, the entire cast were given guest passes to go to Disneyland, instead. Kind of sad, huh?!

I've been thinking about what Linkara said and the other plotholes with the premise of Dark Wish. First, let's list off the Power Rangers who could step in. We've seen Jason and Adam with the MMPR powers. Since Jason apparently managed to repair his old morpher, I think Adam could have done so himself. The Zeo powers should be intact, so that's 6 more Rangers, especially since throughout the Zordon era, powers can just be traded around. TJ and Justin from Turbo also have their powers, as shown in In Space and Wild Force. The In Space powers... I assumed they were destroyed along with the Megaship in Lost Galaxy, but apparently not (see Forever Red), so from the Zordon era alone, I count 14 Rangers. Apart from Karone, everyone useful from In Space should also be on Earth - that's what I got from the end of In Space. Moving on to Lost Galaxy: the powers of the Magna Defender are gone, but that's a non-issue, since they're all on Miranoi and I don't think they can return easily. Something similar can be said for the Alien Rangers. Lightspeed Rescue should still be around, as seen in 'Time for Lightspeed' and 'Forever Red'. The Rangers can still regain their powers in a crisis. The Time Force Rangers mostly returned to the future, but Wes and Eric are still around and we've seen them twice in Wild Force. Plus, there's the CGD. So Imperious would still have 22 Rangers and the CGD to deal with. Moving on to Wild Force: I'm fairly confident the Dark Magic crap would have a negative effect on nature, causing the Animarium to return and the Wild Force Rangers' power being destroyed. Also, Zen-Aku (not sure how he survived being destroyed twice, but whatever) is now Merrick's companion and wishes to 'atone'. Plus, Jindrax and Toxica are still around and I feel safe saying they presumably would view the Mystic Firce villains as a threat and join forces with the heroes to save their own skins and the world. So the count is at 28 Rangers, 3 Duke Orgs and the CGD. Ninja Storm and Dino Thunder lost their power and SPD is in the future, I grant the Mystic Force writers, but Ninja Storm also showed there's at least 2 ninja academies with ex-Rangers as teachers, so wouldn't they step in? They weren't created specifically to counter Lothor like the Order of the Claw was to contain Dai Shi, their job is generally protecting humanity. Probably they didn't step in before because they knew there were Power Raners to take care of things. Final count: 28 Power Rangers, 3 Duke Orgs, 2 ninja academies and the CGD. Also, the Zeo Rangers by now should be incredibly powerful because they grow ever stronger, and the Wild Force Power Rangers now probably have access to all the Wild Zords, not just the ones they found. Another thing that I noticed: Imperious - and the writers - apparently forgot he's only around because the Rangers broke through a forcefield unknowingly so Necrolai could get to him. This inspired me to imagine what would've happened in this alternate version. Just a fair warning: this is going to be long. The start would be a lot like what we saw, only Koragg, having memories from what actually happened, now has a lot of déjà vue-feelings. I'm guessing the Rangers weren't erased from Koragg's mind because Imperious thought him dead. I know, that's dumb, but it's Power Rangers. Sometimes you got to pretend things make sense. As we've seen, Koragg has Hidiacs attack villages to draw Udonna out and shows up to kick her ass and steal her snowstaff. Morticon wants to send out monsters, but Necrolai informs him of the other Rangers around the world and Koragg, having the benefit of hindsight and not being a total idiot, convinces him to wait with the attack on the human world, maybe sending out one monster at a time to terrorize the creatures of the forest to keep Morticon happy. Koragg meanwhile sneaks out to get the Fireheart and raise it secretly. Koragg now also knows who the Gatekeeper is, so when he spots Claire outside of Rootcore, having raised Fireheart for a sufficiently long time with the intention of making use of him later against Imperious; he kidnaps her, forcing her to let him into Rootcore, where he kicks Udonna's ass once more and makes Claire take up the Gatekeeper's items. Claire, of course, takes the opportunity to fight him off, but Koragg defeats her and forces her to raise the gate and open it. (I'm also not sure why there was ever any doubt with the villains who was the Gatekeeper. They knew about Bowen, 'The Light'; Necrolai referred to Nick as such and she didn't get the revelation we did, unless it was in the Book of Prophecy without telling us. If they know that, why don't they know about Claire? Even if they didn't, didn't they look into Leanbow's memories? Did they not notice his wife's niece? BTW, in the Great Battle, where is Claire? Safe at home? THEN WHY THE HELL IS BOWEN NOT SAFE AT HOME? Anyway...) Udonna is slowly being driven insane by desperation. Morticon now invades Briarwood with his entire army. A few inhabitants manage to flee and inform the rest of the world, causing the Rangers I listed off to move to Briarwood and launch a counter strike. The CGD and Wind and Thunder Academies probably get involved too; maybe there with Mr. Collins and Wes something similar happens to what we'll see between Colonel Truman and Scott, the father authorizing the son to lead a counter offensive. Maybe this attack is executed without Wild Force support, since nature hasn't suffered too badly yet. Then we get a truly awesome war between the Rangers, ninjas and CGD on one side and Morticon, Koragg, Necrolai, Morticon's army of monsters and Koragg's Styxoids and Hidiacs on the other. Eventually, due to far superior numbers, Morticon and crew come out on top. In a display of competence, Koragg (unlike Linkara, I really like Koragg; the main difference is I actually like, as Linkara puts it, 'honour for its own sake') advices an attack on the Mystic Mother, which is the only explanation for there being only Dark Magic. If the Mystic Mother is Rita Repulsa, I'm not sure what happened to Zedd. Maybe he died or gave up his powers to Rita for some reason, maybe he's around and just not shown, maybe he wnt off to another dimension or planet to do something else. Let's just assume he's out of the picture. Koragg, Morticon and the few monsters not destroyed by the Rangers invade the Mystic Mother's Palace. The Snow Prince fights a fierce duel against Koragg, ending in the destruction of the Snow Prince and Koragg being severely injured and his sword broken, kind of like his duel against Nick in 'The Gatekeeper: part 2'. Rita destroys Morticon and his monsters, but Morticon manages to destroy her in turn right before dying himself. Koragg takes the Fang of the Master (Morticon's sword) like we've seen him do and retreats to recover and reforge the Fang of the Master into his own sword. Now, also as we've seen, Necrolai goes looking for a new leader and actually manages to get Imperious because Mystic Mother's destruction messed with the forcefield. Imperious picks up where Morticon left off and moves to take over the world with dark magic. We get the Imperious vs. Koragg hatred when the latter returns (including Imperious tricking Koragg into giving up his magic, Koragg not daring to raise suspicion by refusiing) while the Wild Force Rangers get involved. The Wild Force Rangers and the Duke Orgs gather survivors from the earlier war, and maybe the Alien Rangers, the Galaxy Rangers and Karone join in their new coalition. Imperious gathers the monsters he used to take over the world and summons the Barbarian Beasts. In another incredible showdown all the earlier monsters and the two Barbarian Beasts originally destroyed by the Mystic Force now fall to the Ranger alliance. However, this time, the Rangers are utterly destroyed. Koragg knows he's about to be attacked and tries to reach Fireheart, so they can make a stand against the Barbarian Beasts together, but he is intercepted and defeated. Then he's saved by Phineas, as seen, and he finds the Ranger. Sorry about the length!

But I have to say you really put in a lot of thought into making more useful in your version of the "Dark Wish" trilogy. Why aren't you a freaking writer for Power Rangers, yet?! Xaviergray87 I personally think my thing for Koragg is in large part the 'Knight' thing. Don't get me wrong, I'm much more a fan of the Samurai than I am of Knights, but Knights are still awesome, to me at least. Not only is he described as a Knight, he looks the part, far more than Daggeron in fact. A Knight would use sword and shield on foot, and probably wouldn't wear his cape in combat. I really get the sense this guys IS a Knight - a Dark Knight - as opposed to some random evil asshole like Morticon. I agree with Linkara that Morticon is really not that great a villain. That aside, by my own admission, not everything makes as much sense, but hey, Power Rangers. Thank you very much! Well, I've learned from watchig Linkara's videos, Honest Trailers, the Movie Sins series from CinemaSins, and a long experience of writing (half my life by now) to not only spot the plot-holes, but fill them. Unfortunately, I'm still in college and I probably live in the wrong country to become a part of the writing staff...

Now, don't get me wrong, but this is just my opinion when I say this....If Saban Entertainment was back in business at that time, they would developed the Disney-era of the Power Rangers differently and they would've actually connected their footage and storyline with most of the stock footages of Magiranger vs. Dekaranger for the SPD/Mystic Force team-up.

so another reason why team ups are more expensive isn't just that they require more original footage, but that the sentai footage often comes from teamup movies, and since power rangers only has the tv rights, it costs extra. i think some team ups don't even use the sentai footage, but i could be entirely wrong about that.

I don't agree with Linkara about Koragg. I think he is a pretty good villain. Sure, he was just a good guy who had beeen made evil, but when he was evil, he still had a sense of honor. He was willing to serve the Master, let darkness rule the world, but was objective if the means to reach those goals were dishonorable. It would've been better if he was just a villain who was honorable and I'd like to see more villains like that in Power Rangers.

Which teams would be on earth in the absence of Mystic force? SPD would not yet exist. I assume the Alien Rangers might stay out of it. The Wild Force teams powers are with the Animarium. Time Force, save Alex and Eric is a thousand years away and most of the Zordon era Rangers are either off planet or can't morph. That leaves Lightspeed Rescue, Ninja Storm the Quantum Ranger and Red Time Force Ranger, Justin and his magic cars, Dino Thunder, and maybe Adam.

Since obviously the producers of Mystic Force were constantly dragging the "big, suspenseful mystery" for as long as possible like it was really that big of a deal. I mean, c'mon!!!! It was so obvious that Nick is Udonna's long-lost son, "Bowen" and that Udonna is Nick's birth mother. Oh and FYI, it's not the "Snow Ranger", Udonna's ranger is called, the White Mystic Ranger.

Okay, the question was asked, where are the other teams of Rangers? Space Patrol Delta? Don't exist yet. The Dino Rangers? Don't have their powers. Ninja Storm Rangers? Don't have their powers. Wild force rangers? Don't have their powers. Time force rangers? Other than the silver Guardians and Wes and Eric, the rest of the team is in the future. Lightspeed Rescue Rangers? They have their powers, but no Zords. Galaxy Rangers? Not presently on Earth. Space Rangers? They do have their powers, and maybe their Zords were repaired. Turbo Rangers? Maybe just TJ and Justin, but no Zords. Zeo Rangers? Their powers were never destroyed and should still be intact as well as all of the Zeo Zords still on standby, never destroyed. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers? Jason, with his re-energized Tyrannosaurus power coin. And maybe Zack and Trini if they still retained their powers after the power transfer from The Sword of light. Ninja Zords and Shogun Zords were never destroyed.
