I don’t know if anyone has brought this up yet but I think it’s worth mentioning, Yoshi Sudarso (Koda’s actor) made a brief cameo in Ninninger, to my knowledge he’s the only Power Rangers actor to appear in a Sentai series.

I don’t know how to feel about Tommy getting so much love this far along in the franchise. On the one hand, he’s clearly earned it! He’s a great martial artist, he’s wise from his years of experience as a ranger, he’s had the most ranger forms, and just awesome in general. On the other hand, having the other rangers’ efforts being overshadowed by Tommy’s makes it feel like Tommy is _too_ awesome, if that makes any sense. One of the reasons why Forever Red is my favorite anniversary special is because all of the red rangers were equals. The Wild Force Rider being the thing to stop Serpantera is goofy, but it makes sense that Cole’s weapon saved the day because it was still the Wild Force season; of course he should get the last hit in. Even when Cole said Tommy was the greatest ranger ever at the end of the episode, the others laughed him off! I don’t see that happening now though. Is it bad that I’m thinking this way towards a character in this franchise? I’m open to feedback. I just don’t want to come across as someone who’s sick of Tommy, because I’m not. I’m just not okay with any one ranger getting more attention than others in an anniversary special.

There is nothing wrong with that at all, I also admit while Tommy is great he is very overrated in the franchise. Don't get me wrong he does deserve the love he gets, but there are other rangers out there that deserve just as great recognition. Your opinion is your own and there is nothing wrong with it.

Tommy’s honestly earned his fan favorite status outside of the PR universe, mainly due to the fact JDF genuinely loves what he’s done for this franchise it’s why he’s appeared in multiple team ups and came back as a mentor in Dino Thunder, granted I don’t think Tommy should overshadow other rangers but I think the reason so many people love Tommy and why the producers keep asking him to come back, aside from his multiple roles in PR, is that he loves the fans just as much. Another example of this is Ciara Hanna (Gia from megaforce) despite the season she appeared not being fondly remembered it’s clear that like JDF, she cares about the franchise as well, we have proof of this because she came back for this team up and has appeared in multiple fan projects such as Street Fighter Showdown and Dino Mega Charge I guess what I’m trying say is all the actors in the team up deserve nothing but the upmost respect for even being there as by just being there shows how much they care about Power Rangers and I think that’s what most fans want from any PR series someone who cares.

@@jeffsmethers3998 Hold up, you just fangasmed over Tommy for most of your comment without even justifying why Tommy gets so much focus. While JDF may love the franchise, that doesn't mean that they should center a whole entire special on him and give him most of the limelight. And he isn't the only actor that loves the franchise, he's just the most popular because he's the original green ranger. And I wouldn't even say he loves PR the most since Sudarso brothers are unrivaled when it comes to that. And of course we respect the past actors, Saban are the ones that should show them more respect.

Just looking at these reviews, I think a reason why Ninja Steel got some hate was that it seems to repeat certain ideas that Dino Charge did, just not as good. In both reviews Linkara points out things like "Hey there's a lasting relationship throughout the season", "Most of the Rangers only have one parent", " The Red Ranger's dad disappeared 10 years ago". "oh it turns out his father is also the Red Ranger", "Sledge is here". Stuff like that. Me personally, I think it's okay to keep certain things consistent sometimes, but I also wasn't watching this on a weekly basis. Plus it's the same producer basically copy/pasting certain things that just happened. Like if this season came like 5 years later, no one would've really noticed.

i always found it interesting in the team the six rangers that were captured matched the current ninja steel team. white, pink, blue, yellow, red and gold.... i wonder if this had been a two parter would there have been a good vs. evil ranger team up. would have been interesting if the ninja steeel had to fight trent, kat, tj, gia, rocky and antonio while wes, koda, and gemma had to fight off tommy and find an antidote. and then the robot ranger army revealed as a backup plan.

Netflix got rid of every PR season from their streaming service. The only seasons still available(as of this reply), are Mighty Morphin, Ninja Steel, and Dino Fury. The only other way to watch them, is either 1. watching them on Hasbro's Power Rangers youtube channel, or 2. buying the DVDs. I bought the DVDs, since I don't trust Netflix to hold on to shows for very long.

@@SJ_RANKS I know this reply is late, but I already own Power Rangers seasons 1-17(aka: Mighty Morphin to RPM) on DVD. Although seasons 13-17 box set was hard to find, since I waited too long to grab a copy, before Shout Factory discontinued those sets. Now the only way to get the DVDs, is to buy the individual season box sets(even though some seasons are released in 2 parts).

@@SJ_RANKS Fun Fact: I had to order a new copy of S.P.D., since the one in my seasons 13-17 DVD set had 2 faulty/scratched discs. so some scenes during certain episodes kept skipping. I contacted Shout Factory about it, and they said they couldn't send me a new disc, and instead told me I'd have to order a new copy(which I did), and when I tested the discs, they worked. Also, I watched Overdrive, and hated it. The only good bits being Spencer the butler, the theme songs(except Mighty Morphin) playing during the team up episode "Once a Ranger", and the Sentinel Red Ranger(aka: Mack's Battlizer) Although Megaforce makes Overdrive look great by comparison. And that's isn't saying much. Also, IDK why the Zordon Era DVDs(save for Mighty Morphin) are released in 2 parts, when the collectors sets have the entire seasons in 1 individual set each?

Judd Lyn said at Power Morphicon 2018 that the higher ups(either Nick or Saban, more towards Nick considering the old and new shows they currently have on their block) HEAVILY pressured the production team for more humor for Dino Charge and Ninja Steel. He also went on record saying that he and the other members of the production team wanted to recreate the tone they had set for Power Rangers In Space. So the fart jokes were due to executive meddling, and probably trying to create humor that kids would understand. And be out of touch with that in that point. And apparently, Saban is STILL insisting on having a comedy duo for every season, despite Disney era seasons not having comedy duos. They had a comic relief character every season(some done better than others), but they were fine without a comedy duo. Also Trent and Kira from Dino Thunder were going to be a couple, but Disney put the kibosh on it, because they thought boys weren’t interested in romance. It apparently gotten so bad that they started prohibiting ANY contact between their actors altogether. And about the break up episode, the actresses said that they didn’t want to teach the younger girls thinking it was okay stealing your best friends’ significant other. There’s also the implications of a white dude dumping a black girl for a white girl, but it’s possible Judd Lyn didn’t know about said implications. Before anyone asks, it is possible to do so without really meaning it, My Hero Academia with a specific character is a significant example. Also Dimensions in Danger had originally planned for more ranger alumini coming back: Ninjor, Phantom Ranger, Doggie Kruger, The Titanium Ranger, and the Quantam Ranger, bringing the role reprisals to 16. Legendary battle(Failure of an anniversary) and Shattered Grid had more. Speaking of Shattered Grid, the Boom Studios comics are really good. I highly recommend you guys check it out on your own time. Kamen Rider should at least be on crunchyroll or another streaming service.

I'm actually surprised Judd Lynn is more competent than Nickalodeon. Okay, maybe not that surprising, since Judd Lynn has done some great writing in past PR seasons. But it makes me wish there were more writers/directors like him, rather than networks like Nickalodeon, who have the mindset of: "We don't need to put effort into our shows, because kids are stupid" BS. Hell! Avatar the Last Airbender is one of my all-time favorite Nick shows, not just because of the comedy, but because of the characters, world building, lore, and solid writing. And I wish more kids shows would do that, rather than pander to kids.(Ex: gross-out humor)

@@dragonisthunder515 Yeah, that's why I often question the competence of TV executives nowadays. They cancel well written shows like Invader Zim, yet green light crappy shows like TTG. And yeah, I know why Invader Zim was cancelled, I just wish more adults would understand that(as Linkara once said) "Just because something is made for children, doesn't mean it still can't be sophisticated". Just look at Sesame Street. A show aimed at goddamn pre-schoolers(aka: Toddlers). That show has been ongoing for decades, and treats it's audience with more respect, than a show about flatculants, or pure randomness for no reason.

oh if you want to see a live action drakon and shattered grid they had an episode about it in the hyper force rpg season. it's on hyper rpg youtube channel. each session/episode is between 2-3 rours so even if you just watch them one and a time it's worth the wait. and they bring back a guest ranger ever 2-3 episodes like jen, aisha, tommy, and more. and the sudarso brothers who played preston in ninja steel and koda in dino charge play brothers in hyperforce too. they even got themselves an intro as well.

I actually like the 25th anniversary episode it’s not forever red but it’s better than once a ranger and the legendary battle at least both ranger teams and one is not overshadowing the other like in once a ranger and at least the legendary rangers are doing something instead of just standing there and they have lines to speak hell they actually did something better than forever red instead of a f🐬cking motorcycle saving the day (and no I will not get over that serpentera destroyed a planet and a motorcycle destroys it wtf?!) tommy summons the white falcon zord it looks like they cgi animated a toy but I’ll take it over serpentera being destroyed by cole’s flying motorcycle there are some issues with the 25th anniversary episode the pacing is too fast (because god forbid we let the action pan out in the old days tv executives think kids wouldn’t be in a perfectly paced action gotta rush through it) even I have to agree with linkara tommy is great but there are other power rangers hell I was more interested in seeing Wes than tommy tbh in fact I’m with Wes changes history and saves the world from being sucked into some vortex’s and tommy has a fan club and he doesn’t but still a better anniversary episode than the previous 2

The no kissing thing is a Power Rangers thing, not nickelodeon. Characters kissed on shows like Drake and Josh, Zoey 101, Sabrina. It's just ever since Tommy and Kim they feel kissing isn't appropriate for kids apparently
