I'm so used to watching Linkara yell to Moarte off-screen, it was rather humorous to see the reverse. Considering Linkara has moved at least three times to my knowledge since Atop the Fourth Wall began, does that technically mean Moarte is haunting him specifically, since he sets up shop in the utility closet of whatever place Linkara calls home?

Ah yes. The house f*****. That story was weird. I always wondered why the house preferred her over the father and daughter. You’d thinkable it would be loyal to the family who’d looked after it for generations instead of the random pervert, but I’m not a house.

0:44 Must. Not. Make. Silk Joke 1:24: An accurate portrayal of getting out of bed during a heatwave. 2:15: Fun fact, the Milwaukee Art Museum is considered the world's sexiest building, so this lady really didn't consider her options. She could have had hundreds of eyes staring at her there. 3:35: Cockroaches? So last season. Get a bag of Pez to shove in there and then we'll talk. 4:28: Yeah, I don't have anything funny for this one. The after-image idea is comforting, but also kind of tragic. Are you really coming to terms with your loved one's death, or are you just delaying the inevitable and making more pain for yourself by losing them a second time? 5:47: I guess it really is what's on the inside that counts. 6:16: Black Bird pukin' in the dead of niiiight.. 7:59: Compulsively collecting people who exhibit odd compulsions to compulsively write about them? This lady's her own best case subject. 8:31: A predicament that could be easily solved with a scarred coin. I actually got caught up on a lot of the Junji Iito Fragments over the summer. My favorite was "The Dark Drinks Blood" for being a very unique and somewhat sympathetic take on vampires. That, and I really love bats. On the opposite end of the spectrum, "Glyceride" was absolutely stomach-churning. I legit had to take a shower after finishing it, and I will never look at salad oil and mozzarella cheese the same way again.

Hearing Ito stories rushed reminds me too much of how the anime handle these. Spoilers alert; Futon: Being driven mad by mold until it almost kills you is a unique kind of creepy. Wooden Spirit: No mention of the tragic ending, where the house lost its status. Red Turtleneck: Not often enough that we have a story where the horror leaves scars like that, whether literal or figurative. Gentle Goodbye: Huh, hadn't heard of this one before. Dissection-chan: 5:44 It is one of those where the person was creepier than the paranormal. Blackbird: Man, that bird had *lips.* Magami Nanakuse: Also had not heard of this one. Whispering Woman: Another one where the people was creepier than the paranormal.
@ToHoldNothing3 жыл бұрын
Gentle Goodbye was adapted in the anime, most of these weren't, but there's a LOT of stories and they only had budget to do 24 segments, plus the 2 Tomie OVAs. Some of these would probably be a bit too violent or they just picked the ones that worked best, some tied together, like the ones with Souichi, the weird curse obsessed boy

After seeing Blackbird covered by a KZbinr, I actually had a semi-lucid dream/nightmare about the monster. I was running from the bird monster, but she wasn't very... difficult to deal with. I had fought back a few times, and every time she showed up I just smacked her with something or threw things at her. Probably helped that I wasn't injured in the dream lol

Hey Linkara if you have time you should look and find Junji Ito's Tomie. Tomie is one of the most popular they made series of movies and an anime. It's about a girl name Tomie who is so evil. She can't stay dead cuz she's always keep coming back to life. Any guy who looks at her will fall madly in love with her and any girl touches her DNA will be possessed by her.
