Loved the explanation, however would like to say that an easier way to think about it could be - Consider 3 nodes, now if we want to ascertain that probability of any of the 3 nodes to be selected is 1/3 we can compute the probability of the 3 to be selected like you explained which would be 1/3 next we can say for 1 and 2 the probability to be selected would be when 1 is selected (1/2) and 3 is not selected (2/3) same for 2.
