One more actual tale: A wise chemistry professor in Kansas once passed on sage advice to a young student looking for someone to help with actual good advice for living life, & I have found it as true today as then, “Find those who like you for /who you are.” He said it with kindness and compassion for a kid being regularly abused without any real role models to turn to, & I never forgot it. I hope it helps President Obama when he feels down (if he didn’t already know that one) ♥️
@zackoscar8858 Жыл бұрын
“Find those who like you for who you are “ It’s an advice you give to young ppl when they’re still naive and unaware of what’s coming ahead. As time goes by, you’ll need to find those who don’t like you and challenge you, and against your usual stream, your boat need to be shaken up and down, left and right. It’s the toughest thing that really bring about the maturity you see it around you on elder ppl, and those you admire as role models.

So conservatives were apoplectic that this black man was elected President, twice, and in their anger rallied around Donald Trump, author of the birthing scandal. The world continues to be incredulous that Americans could reject THIS kind, brilliant man and choose a clown. We went from the sublime to the ridiculous. I know conservatives are still circling their wagons around Trump which makes me despair for our country. Compare this conversation to Trump describing classified documents to an aide. Really?

Ira didn’t do the best job on this. He was star struck by Obama, and despite Obama trying to nudge him to calm down and focus on listening to the interviewees, he didn’t. His questions to the single mum focused on how amazing it must have been to have a famous man talk to her, and his jittery interruptions of all attendees (including Obama) were disruptive. When they tried to share details about their jobs he cut them off and said ‘percentages please !!” And only wanted to hear about the part they didn’t like! What?

Never listen to a wealthy person is a little too strict. Probably don't be guillible to politicians. When considering dignity, many employees are treated 'alright' on the job. No person should be collecting a paycheck and living on the street; they need housing security that isn't detrimental to their health. This is where we continue to see disparities in value. Do people choose to be democratically poor? Toddlers are taught to aspire to reach the pinnacles of society, yet there is a completely different attitude to being employment disenchanted with 'just to pay the bills' work. More balance needed. Regarding this documentary, are your background workers paid? The hidden and the recognized in terms of dignity and value.
