Reviving a three years old comment to say that this was still pretty clean but you can hear that his voice was strained after the scream, take a look (and a hear) to the amazing Live in Texas version, it's unreal how incredible he was in that same part.

He did know that he...couldn't sing this type of songs like he did before. However...he DID, he showed us, how much effort how much passion how much of him he could give. And that's why...it sounded AWESOME, you can see he is giving everything he's got, to make it sound amazing. Not shitty playback, not lip sync, not autotune...it's just him...Chester you'll be the best, forever missed.

He performed even when he was scared he couldn't stand straight. He was crippled for months.He was scared what people would think of him just breaking down on stage and just flopping on the floor like a fool. But on stage he sang his heart out and felt fine. True passion

Brad went out of his way for this. The start was insane, you can clearly see him focusing and then closing his eyes then opening them and walking back. He is impossible to replace. Plays a big role in Linkin Park. Brad, Rob, and Joe all did amazing on the start. Mike was hyped kinds and Chester sounded eh, most likely due to his depression which would later kill him that same year. RIP CHESTER! #LP4VER

@@ayesha5016 I think it was more to do with the microphone obviously touring does fatigue and his voice and didnt sound it's best all the time but in here it sounds more like a mic issue

sadly his voice was getting worse from gig to gig ... not only because he was singing and screaming for over 20 years but also because he never really rested ... he always gave 110%

It's weird how his scream was still there but the vocal chords for regular singing seemed to be very strained

because screaming doesnt strain your voice because you build scar tissue but singing takes alot more effor t than screaming
